I got the p0456 code, says "Small evap leak".
The gas cap looked tight, so the leak might be coming from a hose, the evap purge canister, or something else... I've rarely been driving this car all year because I'm staying at home... just weekly grocery store trips...
I'm probably just going to ignore the code since I already got my registration. Hopefully, its covered under some kind of warranty... or I could attempt to replace things myself. But i haven't found anything useful online to guide me to what it might be...
Anybody with a Hyundai/Kia care to enlighten me? Any useful advice is appreciated.
Update from Dec 21, 2020: The code might have been a glitch or something. Maybe the purge solenoid was sticking or something.. but I erased the code and it never came back. I put a full tank of gas in it, and drove it 100 miles. It gets 43 mpgs, handles and feels good. It must've been a glitch.
A couple of other weird glitches though within the past month. 1.) The clock went out, but then magically came back. People online say its a problem with sirius xm's satellites or something... I can't confirm. 2.) I turned the car on and it said "refill inverter coolant". I checked the reservoir. It was full. I drove it around, cycled the power, and the notification went away... it must've had an air bubble messing with the sensor or something...
Still better than a Nissan...
