I was driving down a neighborhood street and the car stalled out and died. I got pulled over and turned the ignition off. I looked under the hood and saw nothing weird, battery cables were tight, no leaks. I restarted the car and the check engine light was on. After a few minutes of driving, the light went off and the car seemed to be fine. I chalked it up to a random gremlin and it didn't happen for about 2 weeks. Fast forward 2 years and the car is still messing up. I had it diagnosed and was told that the high pressure fuel pump was losing prime. This seems to happen only when the car is hot or after driving it for longer than just a few minutes. The cost to fix this issue, according to the dealership, is between $800-$900. Adding this to the long list of issues with this car.
