Took the car in for an airbag recall appointment, waited more than an hour and then was told the part wasn't available. Had to call for another appointment and when I got there, was told there was an additional recall concerning the engine. I gave the ok to do whatever was necessary to the software to address the engine recall. Was told that, among other things, the gas mileage would improve. NOT! Have lost approx. 9 miles per gallon at every speed and condition. Further, when checking the mileage to empty, it sometimes varies as much as 30 miles: i.e. first check will indicate 288 miles to empty and a few minutes later it will indicate 318 to empty. This can occur when on the same highway at the same speed within only a few minutes. The avg. miles per hour also goes awry, sometimes showing nothing, other times the space is totally filled with the red indicator. It's totally annoying as is the response I've gotten from both the dealership and KIA customer service.
