Kia national was informed in this incident. the side air bags not deploying on impact even though the drivers door was pushed in on the driver due to a deer running into the side of the vehicle, i was informed by kia headquarters that because the vehicle was not detected moving sideways in this in accident, that was reason the side air bags did not deploy. what a load of crap! This was a serious side impact at full speed where the drivers door was pushed in on me and kia national comes up with this lame explination, well if you decide to buy one good luck with the safety systems because in my opinion they are non existent just on paper to make the vehicle look good.
