I need to know if I have any legal standing on the fact that the dealership service center just cleared codes on my car and a week and half later it left me stranded on I79 and had to be towed.
Since then, they keep diagnosing my car and keep trying parts that they don't know if it will fix it. It is a 2017 KIA Niro. The first part was under warranty and it didn't fix it. The next part was $1250 and was not available in the US. Part shipped from Korea 7/31. I received a phone call from the service center that it didn't fix the part and that a service tech was being sent out to look at it. Tech came on 9/3 and recommended another part for $1700 and it may not fix it. I now have to decide whether to put this part in $2046.89 plus tax for part and labor that is not under warranty and the tech still doesn't know if it will fix it.
(Car went into shop 6/25/24 for the problem for first time, picked up on 6/28/24 after only have HEV battery management code cleared and no explanation of why the codes were there.)
