- Summary
- TECHNICAL SERVICE BULLETIN: INSTALLATION OF SECONDARY FUEL TANK INLET CHECK VALVE (ICV) - This bulletin supersedes TSB FUE052. Follow the updated information in this bulletin for the noted concern on the applicable vehicle. This bulletin provides information on installation of a secondary fuel tank Inlet Check Valve (ICV) on some 2020MY Forte (BDm) vehicles produced from May 15, 2019 through August 3, 2020, which may exhibit fuel well-up (sometimes referred to as spit-back) from the Fuel Filler Neck, after the tank has been filled up, and the fuel dispenser clicks off. This condition may occur rarely, when the ICV in the fuel tank (at end of Fuel Filler Neck) becomes temporarily stuck in the open position due to the ICV ribs preventing the ICV from closing completely.
