When I would play a cd my sound would become distorted off and on. I would hear static for awhile and it would go away. There was no particular time that the static would last for.
I had to take the car in to fix the steering wheel controls and was told that the problem should be fixed when the controls were fixed. The problem still persisted so I took the car back and was then told that the bass was up too high and it blew the speakers. The car has never been reset from its original settings and I don't blast my music at high volumes. I told the dealer this but they listed that as the cause.
The speakers were still covered under warranty and were fixed. Two days later the problem was back and once again no one has touched the settings. I called back to the service dept where I was told they don't know what they would be able to do for me since the problem was fixed and I would have to come back in to see what a manager says.
Hoping after the fourth time of someone looking at the problem it is fixed and the buck and blame not directed back towards me. I told them if the speakers were blown I should not have times where the speakers sound wonderful and then times where it's so much static that it's annoying.
