Since I have owned this car the Headlamp and Fog Lamps have always automatically gone off shortly after exiting the vehicle and closing the vehicle door. One night my neighbor called to inform me that my Headlamp was still on hours after I had been home. This happened with the Fog Lamps as well, even though all doors were closed and these lights normally turned off automatically.
Dealership inspected and found that my car is not even equipped with Automatic Headlamp Assembly, nor is it equipped with Fog Lamps, however the vehicle's Running Lamps do stay illuminated when the vehicle is off but the Head Lamps Switch is still on. The vehicle's Headlamps go out when the Lamp Switch is left on possible to save battery." (This was only one of multiple random issues ranging from annoying to dangerous that ultimately led to Kia buying car back under the Lemon Law.)
