Beside the engine knock, the car overheated and the engine died. Dealership said to replace engine. I never had this type of issue with all the other cars I have driven. Only 150000K. No more Kia for me!

I still owe on this car. I was led to believe that it was "certified pre-owned" when I bought it with 22,000 miles on it. It was not.I took really good care of it and maintained it like clockwork. It's the newest vehicle I've ever owned. It started to run badly and I was on the interstate, so I pulled into the next town and it was low on oil (weird), so I added oil, which seemed to help. It wasn't time, but I took it to get the oil changed the next day. There was no engine light or anything and it ran fine. A few days later it started making a clicking sound (still no engine light) and I made an appointment at our local Kia dealer. The soonest they could get me in was 2 weeks later. By that time, it was a loud knock (finally an engine light), but it still ran and still had oil in it. They told me "the engine is junk" and quoted me $5900 for a 2 year old engine with 64,000 miles on it. When I asked if this was a common problem, they said, "Oh, absolutely not" I said, "Why wouldn't you put a brand new engine in?" They told me they didn't make that engine anymore. I asked if I could trade it and they laughed and said, "We wouldn't take that car if it had a new motor, how much do you have to put down on a new car?" I said, "Are you serious?" and he basically hung up on me. So I still owe on this car and I am NOT putting a 2 yr old engine that will fail in 20,000 miles. Why has this GDI engine not been recalled like the rest of them. I have told everyone I know my story and to never buy a Kia. I have also steered numerous people away from that dealership.

You would think if your taking your car to the dealership its getting the best attention.

I have taken my car to Brandon Kia since 2015 for every service needed. My car is meticulous, clean inside and out. I was a KIA brand supporter. It has never dripped a drop of oil or puffed any smoke. It ran like a top.

All of a sudden my car seizes from no oil being in it. Oil doesn't evaporate.

You would smell oil burning or see smoke. There’s no drips no sign of burning oil at the tail pipe. Once again oil doesn’t evaporate there would be a sign. It would have to be burning pretty bad to be empty after being service and be empty before the next service. The dealership wanted to charge me for another motor. When they are the ones that forget to put oil in it.

They wanted to charge me $6K plus to replace my engine. After going back and fourth they said they would put another motor in my car. I was charged $3k to get my car back with a different motor in it,

I drove it home Saturday evening and noticed my right headlight assembly wasn’t working, no turn signal, headlight nothing. I call leave a message I’m bringing It back Monday to be addressed. I live about 10 miles from the dealership. I get 3 miles from my house on the inner state and the car starts to run rough the light turns on and the motor shuts down. Leaving me on the side of the road waiting for a tow truck. I’m doing the best I can do to stay calm. They really need to screen their techs, this is crazy. After reviewing their reviews this isn’t the first time. The GM at this branch isn’t helpful in anyway, his answer was to sell me a another car. With a typical salesman that wants me to spend has much as I can and give me nothing for mine. My car was just paid off two months ago, garage kept.

This has to be the worse experience I’ve ever had to deal with a dealership. No integrity, responsibility anything for someone that has been a loyal costumer for years. Something needs to done. They told me after the fact the motor was installed it has a 6 months warranty. What kind of warranty am I going to get now? It didn’t last 30 miles.

STAY AWAY FROM KIA! 75,000 miles started burning oil, took it in to the dealership countless times each time they said they couldn't find anything wrong with it. Keep in mind I take care of my car, oil changes on time, everything maintained as it was supposed to be. Just over 100,000 miles the engine finally blew up. No compression, cams shot, heads shot, seals shot, bad piston rings. The cars don't hold their value either. I was told by the mechanic that is replacing my motor that the dealerships are replacing the motors around 100,000 miles regularly
