So, first thing, i purchased this car new at a dealership in 2014. I never had an issue with the car until 3 years afterwards. I was driving with my friends and the next thing we know, the radio died. I didn't think much of it since most of the time, these problems usually are fixed with a new fuse. I was a little annoyed since I never had a car stereo die on me in only 3 years. I tried to check the fuse but it was in this weird case that held 2 fuses together.
I had the dealer remove the fuses since I tend to have issues controlling my strength. I noticed that the fuses are not broken. To make sure I replaced it with another fuse (same fuse amps) and nothing. At this point, I'm angry. I know what might be the problem and I don't want to do the work myself as I have a lot more things on my plate. I talked with the dealer mechanics to see if this could be covered on my extended warranty and it looks like it is not. I asked them how long it would take to replace the radio and the amount and they replied that since they still need to check and see if the radio itself is the issue or the wiring has a problem, it could take some time. They also said that if the radio is the problem, it alone would cost about $400.
Aside from all of that, it is very irritating that since my radio is down, all controls are down on the steering wheel (this car does not have cruise control) and my CD is stuck inside of the CD player. I expect better qualities from car but this looks like most cars being produced are not made with quality in mind.
