I started having front end noise that sounded like a suspension issue. I had the shocks/struts replaced. The noise is not as bad but still there. I purchased sway bar links to replace those in hopes of stopping the noise. I was reading in a forum of other Forte owners having the same problem and they too replaced the sway bar links and the noise continued. In the forum people stated they notified Kia or had their car looked at by Kia. Kia told them it is not a safety issue so don't worry about it. This concerned me, so before I put in new sway bars, I figured I would give KIa HQ a call to see if there are other owners with the same problem and what it is so I'm not hanging parts that don't need to be replaced. Kia informed me they can't give mechanical advice. I let them know I was not looking for advice, I want to know if other drivers had similar problems and what was done to stop the noise. They told me to go to Kia Tech Info for assistance, but I would have to pay to use the site. I mentioned just calling my local Kia Dealership to see if they would let me know, but was told by the person on the phone, the maintenance section would only tell me to bring the car in. Not too sure why Kia is not willing to assist, when I know other Forte drivers are having the same issue.
