In the Spring of 2019 I started to hear a sound as though the rear bearing on the Cadenza was going bad. In June I took the 2017 Cadenza in for an oil change. I asked the Kia Service Manage to check out the noise I was hearing. He told me I had a bad shock and it was cupping the tire. It was the cupping that sounded like a bad bearing. So, at 21,000 miles the Service Manager installed a new set of rear shocks.
In June 2020 (a year later) at 31,000 miles I had a new set of tires installed. The "bearing noise" went away, however there was still an occasional noise that did not sound right. In July 2020 I took the Cadenza in for an oil change. I asked the Service Manager to check out the noise I was hearing. They told me the right rear shock had failed. The 2017 Cadenza had less than 8,000 miles between failures. I don't know if I have a serious suspension problem or just bad shocks.
