Now on Sunday August 11th at 6:08pm driving home from store with no charge on jeep at all, not in hybrid only gas, the jeep died in the middle of the road, it abruptly stopped with no warning, my body jerked forward and when I pushed down gas pedal there was nothing. There was no type of warning before this happened, no light warning on dash, no beeping NO WARNING. Thankfully the car behind me went around me and thankfully there was enough distance between us. I was on a back road thankfully right near an entrance of a park. After putting it into park is when it started binging at me and beeping and warning lights, service charging system light came on, check engine light. I tried turning it off and back on which I had power like my radio and lights on dash the whole time. I could not get car to go into neutral, I even turned off got out closed door and then tried again. Thankfully I was close to home called my husband who came, and he could not get into neutral and had to find the loop that put jeep in neutral manually and he towed me to a safer place. He then unhooked the negative battery terminal for 15min to see if that would at least reboot system which it did but drive home it was like a windup toy car very bucking. I did charge and took to dealership Monday it did buck once an. All of this was about an hour. Jeep is at dealership still. I do have pictures and video also
Service charging system light came on, and the Jeep made a metallic rattle under the hood, and I went to a dealership who said they don-??t know much about them and could do anything went to two other dealerships who did not have technicians in that day to see it with a Ford dealership who said that they didn-??t have time and they would get to it due to four weeks I have 150 I-??ve got two other dealerships because I didn-??t buy it there. No one will help me today and I can-??t get anyone at the dealership. I bought it AT to call me back and I don-??t know what to.
Vehicle has stopped and shut down 3 times this year. Unable to power back on. Stopped in the middle of the road. Requieres towing asÃstance all instances back to dealership for repair.
Driving along with traffic, in the middle lane of a 5 lane highway, a red turtle light suddenly appeared on my dash and my car instantly starting losing speed and acceleration at a very quick rate. On the middle of the dash my screen read "Push Break and Push Button to Start" (which it usually says when I get into my car to start it, but my car was still on and running). I quickly put my hazards on and was able to safely, with very little time, pull off the road to the shoulder as fast as I could. I put my car in park and then turned it off after examining the dash to see if any other lights were on. Nothing new had appeared and the turtle light was gone. I started my car up again, went to put it in Drive, but I could not get the vehicle out of Park. My shifter would not budge. Several attempts turning the vehicle off and back on and still could not get the vehicle out of park. All the usual lights turned on, the radio was on and working as usual. At this time, I did notice that the engine light on the dash was now lit up, along with a red battery light. A tow truck was called to come and tow the vehicle to the car dealer I leased it from. This is the first time this has ever happened to me in any vehicle, especially this new one. I just got this brand new '24 Jeep Wrangler 4xE in May 2024.

My 2024 Jeep with low mileage has had 5 issues of the vehicle shutting off while driving and not wanting to start after the unexpected shutdown. The dealership is telling me there is no issue. Given the low mileage and the fact that it has happened 5 times, I'm scared to drive it. It's a huge safety issue. Twice, it happened while driving in traffic, and I was not able to restart the vehicle. I'm lucky I wasn't rear-ended. If this engine stop happens while on the highway, it could be fatal.
The red wrench light came on saying that the electrical system needed to be serviced. We took it to our Jeep dealer which we bought it from and they checked the problem and said there's an issue with it that there is no repair for it at the moment and that we should not drive on electrical if at all possible only on gas because it's a hybrid.
I lease a 2024 Jeep Wrangler Sahara 4xE. On November 13, 2023, I was at making a turn and came to a stop and then when I went to accelerate it wouldn't move and gear shifter was flashing for park. So, I moved it to park at the same time had a service electrical system warning with a picture of the charging port. I was not able to drive and was now locked in park. I had to open the panel near the shifter to pull the release to get it to roll. Unfortunately, you must hold the pull strap the whole time while police officers were attempting to push me out of the road. I also had no power steering and was almost impossible to get the steering wheel to move. I had to use all my force with one hand because other was holding the release strap. After getting to the side of the road the vehicle finally shut off completely. It then finally started, and I took it straight to the dealership. I also I got an email from Jeep for triggered alerts, and it was for Traction Battery Cut-off state. This was also my cutoff date for Jeep connect/Sirius XM for the trial from when I purchased the 2024 Wrangler Sahara 4xe. People in the 4xe forum have said this is a time it has happened to them before too. Was a scary situation because I was without power in the middle of the road and not able to move on my own. Almost was rear ended like 10 times. The dealership stated they couldn-??t replicate and did something with the software. But when asking the lady at the dealership about all the things I have seen on the forum and if this was happening to others, she stated you can-??t trust those forums. I was very taken back and felt she knew more than she would share with me. I then saw this was a recall for prior years and mine was a brand new 2024 at the time. I am constantly worried it will happen again and if it was anyone else in my family it could have been much worse. Now seeing an article about this being investigated by NHTSA, I felt the need to report what happen to me prior.
We purchased the vehicle on March 23, 2024. A few days later, a couple of dozen miles on it, the vehicle started to constantly show the following message on the dashboard 'Service Hybrid Electric Vehicle System'. We brought it to the dealership based on their earlies availability on April 17, 2024. They told us there's nothing wrong with the vehicle and it's safe to park inside our garage and we needed to wait for the 'harness' to arrive and be replaced. Finally on May 10th, 2024 the harness arrived and we brought the vehicle back to the dealership to perform the replacement. The vehicle has been in that dealership ever since and this past tuesday, June 18th, 2024 we were informed that the problem is now worse after attempting to repair it for about 40 days and that Jeep/Stellantis adviced the dealership to park the vehicle outside as it's not safe to park it inside anymore. Very scary for a brand new car! Please see attached pictures documenting the situation. The manufacturer refuses to apply the lemon law even though it has been well over 30 days and it hasn't been repaired.
The vehicle is supposed to have an off board power inverter (MOPAR PART 68522775AD or 68522775AB), and is supposed to work with all models of the 4XE wrangler. My Power port does not work and JEEP has been unhelpful in getting it replaced. My case number with FCA is 89963711.
1. This vehicle has shut itself off three separate times since Tuesday, 29 January. This happens when using the "E-save" system;i.e. mainly the gasoline engine and the engine has not yet reached full operating temperature. It has happened only while stopped at a traffic light. I will contact my dealership Monday, 5 February. The vehicle is available for inspection. 2. Being stopped at a traffic light with a stalled vehicle immediately irritates the drivers behind or worse a driver approaching from behind with a green light. I could be rear ended. 3. I'm contacting the dealership Monday, 5 February. 4.No. 5.The "Service transmission" alert annunciates. All other normal indicators are still showing the radio continues to play, the turn signals function, etc. 6.The transmission must be placed into Park and the ignition switch shut off. At that time, a normal restart can be performed and the vehicle will continue. 6. The vehicle will restart
On [XXX], my wife was driving down the highway and vehicle started to "buck" and almost stalled out. Check engine light came. She was able to make it to the dealer. Dealer ran the diagnostics and received the P0032, P0171, P2097 and P0300 codes. The dealer found the attached document with basically no repair available. We contacted Jeep customer service and were told that it needs a software update, however, they did not know when it would be available. I was not satisfied with that answer and the case was transferred to Jeep retention. In the meantime, we picked up our Jeep and was advised by the service advisor that this is a known issue and advised us to keep the Star publication in the Jeep so if/when it happens again, they will know what to do. This isn't something we can fix since resetting the fuel system requires their equipment. Jeep retention just reiterated what customer service said. Needs software update and don't know when it's available. Jeep Customer Care case number is [XXX]. INFORMATION REDACTED PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6)
At 316 miles I received a notification that there was 0% oil life remaining and the 4xe was also in Fuel and Oil refresh mode and electic mode not working. Vehicle was brought to service at dealership where it was bought and an oil change was performed. Another 300 miles later, the same notification occurred. Jeep is again in Fuel and Oil refresh mode and electric is not working. Dealership was notified and they have not responded this occurred a little over 1 week ago.
When coming to a stop light, vehicle stopped and shut off completely. It would stop for 3-5 minutes in order to be able to restart. This occurrence has happened no less than 6 times since purchase of vehicle (approximately 1 week old). Currently Jeep only has 426 miles. Very concerned about the safety. Luckily the automatic shut off has only happened when at a stop light. No this is not the engine shutting off and restarting after the gas is depressed. The Jeep simply will not move and you have to try and restart multiple, multiple times in order to drive it again. It will take anywhere between 3-5 minutes.
