Driving down the interstate at 65MPH, vehicle totally failed, all lights came on dash, automatic braking engaged and stopped the vehicle. Towed to dealer. Dealer had for 21 days. Received it back January 9th 2025 and on January 16th, 2025, same exact issue. Driving on battery, vehicle cut out, all lights came on dash, vehicle quickly slowed with auto-braking and left me stranded in the middle of the interstate. it would not restart for 5 minutes. Jeep is back at the dealer now.
The contact owns a 2024 Jeep Wrangler. The contact stated while driving approximately 20 MPH, the vehicle stalled. The contact stated that after several attempts, the vehicle failed to restart. The check engine warning light was illuminated. The vehicle was towed to the dealer where it was diagnosed and determined that the battery had failed and needed to be replaced. The vehicle was repaired but the failure persisted. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The failure mileage was 2,000.
Continued "service electric hybrid system" error on dash with dinging noise. The vehicle does not run properly in hybrid mode or electric mode, does not always want to maintain power. Causes jerking movements when accelerating in hybrid mode. Will not run only the ICE in e save mode.
I went to drive it today and it had a full charge. Drove it to my office and put it on charge. Went to go home for lunch and it did not charge, but I had fuel and would figure it out later. Was driving on a 4 lane highway and a turtle popped up on the screen saying it was going to slow mode and turned off 5 seconds later going 55 mph. Had a message on the display saying put in in park, foot on the brake and press the start button. After I drifted to the redlight I did that and nothing. The EV battery was dead, I had 1/8 tank of fuel and would not even try to start. Just sitting at a light at a busy intersection. After 10 minutes and a green light I pushed the start button again and it moved about 15' to right in the middle of the intersection and did it again. All dash lights we on and the message saying press brake, put it in park and start it but literally nothing happens. Luckily a tow truck driver was in another lane and he knew how to pop a cover by the shifter to pull a strap that puts it in neutral as long as the strap is being pulled. So he was able to push me to the side of the road. I was only 1/4 mile away from my office, so I towed it back with another vehicle and put it on charge. Lights came on saying charging system failure, check charger. I called roadside and they towed it to the dealer and I included the charger. To note - I've had this vehicle about 3 months and many times trying to put it in electric mode it will usually say "Electric system temporarily available" Sometimes going down hills in it usually switches to electric mode, but when i get to the bottom I have 0 (zero) power until i push the pedal all the way down and it kicks over to gas mode.

[XXX] driving car that we have owned for approximately 2 months 280 miles on busy road 4 way intersection at light stopped waiting for the turn left when car jolts as though we were rear ended but not. Then stops completely and shuts down with no indication of what is happening. Put hazard lights on trying ro get some control of car the system shut down and appeared to reboot taking 10 minutes. Very scary situation fortunately we were not in a high speed. Luckily the car started but now had an engine light on. Made it home contacted Arrigo dealer in West palm, fl but no calls back. Contacted the service department the next day 11/11/24. They ran tests and said it needed a software update. Not sure why there was no notification and car dangerously shuts down. Picked up car on 11/12/24 to have Juan Gascon assure us it will not happen again. Not feeling great after reading info online. They did send a video from service had trouble uploading. 2024 Jeep Hybrid- one month into purchasing it in March of 2024, the engine completely blew. It was in the shop over a month waiting for a new engine. Last month, my charger would not charge the vehicle - they stated nothing was wrong and it was electrical in my own home which is incorrect considering we use the same outlet to charge another hybrid vehicle. This week, 200k jeeps (mine included) were recalled due to vehicles starting on fire from the charging. The recall states there is no fix at this time and to just not charge your vehicle. I paid much more for a hyrbid vehicle, and now unable to use it for safety reasons.
As I was driving on the interstate, a red turtle appeared on the control panel saying that power has been reduced. Approximately 2 minutes later the entire engine shut down at 55mph. I pulled over and placed the Jeep into park and attempted to restart the truck. The Jeep would power on and immediately shut off. I called a tow truck and had it towed to the dealership (Tate Chrysler and Jeep in Glen Burnie, MD) where it is currently being serviced.
All the warning lights came on while driving on the highway and the vehicle shutdown on its own. 3,000 miles on the vehicle. Seems like an electrical or software issue. Absolutely unacceptable. I am lucky I wasn-??t hit.
The engine is running rough and loses power when it turns on for the first time and speeding up around 6th gear. Also the 2nd gear takes about 3-5 sec to downshift and you lose the opportunity to step on the gas hard or it will slam into another gear. The lose of power and random shifting causes you to slow down and not able to get out of the way or drive well esp. on the highway. The jeep dealer wants to keep the car for 4 days to trouble shoot. No lights or warnings it constantly does this and seems there is a tuning or computer issue. The car only has 8000 miles on it.
Now on Sunday August 11th at 6:08pm driving home from store with no charge on jeep at all, not in hybrid only gas, the jeep died in the middle of the road, it abruptly stopped with no warning, my body jerked forward and when I pushed down gas pedal there was nothing. There was no type of warning before this happened, no light warning on dash, no beeping NO WARNING. Thankfully the car behind me went around me and thankfully there was enough distance between us. I was on a back road thankfully right near an entrance of a park. After putting it into park is when it started binging at me and beeping and warning lights, service charging system light came on, check engine light. I tried turning it off and back on which I had power like my radio and lights on dash the whole time. I could not get car to go into neutral, I even turned off got out closed door and then tried again. Thankfully I was close to home called my husband who came, and he could not get into neutral and had to find the loop that put jeep in neutral manually and he towed me to a safer place. He then unhooked the negative battery terminal for 15min to see if that would at least reboot system which it did but drive home it was like a windup toy car very bucking. I did charge and took to dealership Monday it did buck once an. All of this was about an hour. Jeep is at dealership still. I do have pictures and video also
New car purchased 8/3/24. On 8/5/24, At 300 miles, red check engine light came on. Error code is Turbocharger issue per our code reader. Dealer informed us ok to drive until we could get in for service. At 500 miles, engine began to miss and would not accelerate (8/11/24). We barely made it home by driving under 45 miles per hour. Car towed to Jeep dealer on 8/12/24. Jeep dealer will not give us an expected repair timeline after 3 inquiries this week. It could be as long as 6 weeks per the dealership. This is our 6th Jeep Wrangler since 2009. This 2024 Jeep has a serious issue that needs immediate attention. Jeep should be held accountable and repairs to new vehicles with less than 1000 miles should be a priority. We are working with Jeep to see if a different dealer for repair is an option. Tennessee Lemon Law timeline of 30 days out of service is rapidly ticking away and Jeep does not care at all. I will upload repair documents when Jeep completes service.
Driving Jeep down the road and it cuts off and comes to a halt. It will eventually start back up but check engine light comes on. Took to dealer and they claim it was a flash update, but it has now shut off on us again while driving it. This is VERY dangerous to say the least. Especially if it happens on a major busy highway. It could easily cause a wreck.
In January 2024, on my way to work, the jeep engine randomly shut off. It was the middle of winter and temperature in the teens and that may have been a factor but I had already been driving 20-25 minutes so the car was sufficiently warmed up. After the random shutdown, I was able to park on the side of road but that's where it stayed all day. There was no warning. There were no lights or beeping. It just shut off and would not start again. At the end of work day (9 hours later), I returned to vehicle and it started. I did bring the vehicle in for service at a Jeep dealership for another separate recall issue and they said they could not duplicate the conditions of that morning to see if there was an issue with the engine or battery. There was nothing wrong from what they could tell and released the vehicle. I have not had the incident happen again but I did drive too much during winter months since it concerns me that this random shutdown could happen at any time without warning.
Vehicle has stopped and shut down 3 times this year. Unable to power back on. Stopped in the middle of the road. Requieres towing asÃstance all instances back to dealership for repair.
After purchasing a new vehicle, 25 miles in a check engine hybrid system alert appeared. I returned the vehicle and was advised that this is an inherent problem with this vehicle and is part of a major recall and the parts needed are 6 months delayed!!
Vehicle has experienced a loss of power/throttle response. Also appears to have an issue with engaging and staying engaged in the drive position. At times when trying to place the vehicle in drive the dash indicator will blink "D1" and you have to return the vehicle shift lever to neutral or park and then back to drive to get the transmission to engage and allow the vehicle to move forward. Both issues have occurred while in 2 wheel drive on paved highway as well as in mild off-road conditions in both high and low range four wheel drive modes without the lockers engaged. Vehicle was taken to a dealer on 7/30/2024 and they checked for codes with the only code displayed relating to the collision detection system activation which has occurred while in four wheel drive modes at slow speeds. Vehicle is scheduled for further diagnostics on 8/19/2024 which was the first available service appointment.
Car stopped dead with a total power failure in the left lane on [XXX] between NJ/NY. there was no warning light or any other prior notification to attempt to take evasive action. This was at night with other vehicles traveling at high speed on the road as well. Lucky to be alive. The vehicle was towed into the Jeep dealer on Rt 18 in New Jersey and they returned it saying they had applied a "software update." Glad they feel like a software update is worth someone's life.
