After owning the vehicle for 3 days I was greeted with a dead battery and had to jumpstart it.
Assuming that I might have accidentally left something on I was not initially concerned. I began watching the battery voltage with engine not running before starting in the morning and after turning it off at night. Consistently, the voltage would read around 12.7v at night and around 11v in the morning. This is when I noticed that the driver's display would never clear the Push To Start display. The display would turn off after some time but would pop back on after 2 seconds and stay on all night. The Jeep spent a week with the dealership trying to track down the parasitic drain. It was determined that everything was healthy but the drain was in fact tracked back to the driver's display. It at this point that the Service Manager found a technical service bulletin for this issue and needed to apply a software update. I'm writing this complaint to let others know that there is a fix but they may have to ask the dealership to search the TSB to find the update. Not a great start for a new vehicle purchase.
