The car and steering column start vibrating very aggressively and it is difficult to control the vehicle. It has happened 4-5 times since purchasing the vehicle in September. Sometimes it occurs after hitting a bump or pothole, but not always. Something is very wrong and it seems dangerous.
I was driving about 68 mph on the highway in my 2021 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited and experienced what is commonly known as the "death wobble." My steering wheel shook with such force that my Jeep veered into the right lane next to me that was thankfully empty. I thought my front wheels were going to come right off of the axle, so I pulled over and removed my children from my car from fear of what else the Jeep was going to do next.

My 2021 4XE Wrangler Rubicon has already had the Loss of Motive Power Recall performed a year ago. Jeep stated that the recall software update would prevent this incident. It is not corrected!!! Yesterday, while traveling on I-70 near Virginia at about 70 mph (the speed limit), the Jeep displayed a Jeep Vehicle with the PHEV High Voltage Cables and Battery Pack Diagram drawn over the Jeep in Bright Red color. No codes happened at all when this appeared (no Check Engine Light, no service indicators, nothing). Some words quickly flashed on the dash display stating something like, "Loss of Performance" and the engine shutdown completely and the "D" next to shifter binked yellow continuously afterwards. The dash then stated to Shift Vehicle into Park to Restart (while still coasting at nearly 70 mph). I managed to coast it to the emergency lane, stop the Jeep, shift into park and restart. It then would not run even remotely normal, because it was in a safety mode of some sort. Again, with the engine running completely erratically, no coding at all. When I pressed the accelerator like normal, it would not respond at all (even putting it to the floor had no affect). I had to figure out how to get the accelerator to work so I could drive it back home. I had to gently press the pedal to get it to respond and then the Jeep would not go above about 2500 RPM. It would force itself to slow down if it reached any higher RPM. I went to the local Jeep Dealership ASAP today and was told nothing was recorded in the computer, software is up to date, and there is nothing wrong with my Jeep. This is a serious problem and has to be diagnosed and fixed!!!!

While driving the "Service Shifter" warning appeared in the center cluster notification area repeatedly. There was reduced vehicle performance and a continuous chime alert from the vehicle. Turned the vehicle off, waited several minutes and then turned the vehicle back on and the "Service Shifter" warning appeared again with the continuous chime audio alert.
My rear locker is trying to lock while driving in 2H causing the light to flash constantly. Now due to that occurring the service locker is on this is a known issue and needs to become a recall as most Jeep Wranglers and Gladiators have this same issue

When coming to a stop and electric power is depleted, the vehicle will engage the gas engine and accelerate through a brake. I have to fight the vehicle to come to a complete stop because the engine is pulling me forward through the brake. Due to the unpredictability of the braking system, I must leave a greater stopping distance than required and have almost been in accidents. CAUSE UNKNOWN. I believe the powertrain, engine, and braking systems are involved. The vehicle has been inspected by the dealership shop several times for this problem, and one software update was offered to try to fix the issue, but the issue is ongoing. Yes, the vehicle is available for inspection upon request.
Issue 1--Recall 19A/NHTSA 23V-116 n some circumstances, the clutch pressure plate may become overheated through friction, which may lead the pressure plate to rapidly fracture. When a pressure plate fractures, it may result in cracks or holes in the transmission case, allowing heated debris to be expelled from the transmission case. Safety Risk Heated debris expelled from the transmission bellhousing may come in contact with an ignition source in the vehicle or surrounding area, potentially leading to a fire. A fire can result in increased risk of occupant injury and injury to persons outside the vehicle. Issue 2--Technical Service Bulletin 31-002-20 issued 10/27/2020 Corrison, rust and chipping of pain which is not only a cosmetic issue but rust can spread and weakned metail in the vehicle making it susceptible to additional premature damage and wear. Reported to dealer in May 2023 with as of this date open service ticket and parts not availble to repair--cosmetic issue is preventing me from receiving full value as a trade in on another vehicle.
Issue 1--Open recall since 2/23/2023 with no remedy available (over 5 months) From manufacturer: In some circumstances, the clutch pressure plate may become overheated through friction, which may lead the pressure plate to rapidly fracture. Issue 2--Technical Service Bulletin (TSB 31-002020) dated 10/27/2020 related to rust. This issue was reported to my dealer May 2023 and over 60 days later, the burden is on me to take to a body shop for an estimate to be covered under warranty. Said body shop has had claims open on same issue >120 days with no parts available and no date of parts available. Due to this cosmetic issue on the vehicle, I am unable to trade it in to a dealership for a new car without receiving a lower trade in value. I am now stuck driving a vehicle with cosmetic issues, as I do not want to lose thousands on trade in due to a cosmetic issue that is of no fault of my own.
driving 75 down interstate and the vehicle just lost all power yet everything was "on" like normal and no check engine light- nothing. Would not allow me to accelerate or go over 45mph. It is like it would not shift gears. I stopped twice and turned the vehicle off but it did the same thing. Took it to the dealer and on day 2 (6 days later from initial incident) of them driving it, it did same with them but would not allow them to travel over 30 mph. They state it is not showing any codes and they don't know what is wrong. This is very dangerous while on a busy highway and going 75 to all the sudden lose power to your vehicle with no control and it quickly deaccelerates to 45pmh! I almost got hit multiple times as most people were driving 80mph plus! My vehicle is only 2 years old and less than 30k miles. Something is clearly wrong but not showing any codes so noone knows!

Jeep clutch started slipping. Startig smelling a burning smell. Took it to the dealership. Service tech took it down the road to see for himself. While he was driving it he noticed debris on the road in the rearview and realized it was coming from the jeep. He pulled over and the hood was red hot. The jeep then caught on fire and burnt up! Total loss. The jeep only had 28000 miles on it and still under warranty.
