While driving on a freeway, going over 40mph if I hit a bump or do not grip to my steering wheel very very tight the steering wheel gets wobbly, and starts shaking violently for a long period of time until I slow back down to under 30mph. Luckily traffic wasn-??t too bad and I was able to safely do so. But it-??s dangerous to slow down that much on the freeway, especially not having complete control over the steering wheel. Has happened multiple times, not just this once.
My vehicle had been experiencing loud acceleration as well as difficulty while driving. Upon taking the vehicle to the dealership where purchased they informed me the rear differential on the vehicle was starting to fail. They informed me they had ordered the part from Mopar with no recollection of when it would be in other than it stating it was on backorder. We have tried getting in touch with Mopar over expediting the piece to be told they also have no idea when it will be in, but they are working on it. The vehicle has been messed up for over a month and is worsening. I am having greater difficulty driving it and at points it begins to bounce while moving. It is getting to the point I am now starting to worry for my own as well as others safety because I am unsure when it will fully stop working.
While driving around 44 mph the vehicle started with a death wobble, steering wheel started shaking very hard at the point I almost lost control of the vehicle and crossed the other lane. It-??s very scary and dangerous that if another driver is close, we could have an accident.
I was on [XXX] when my jeep started shaking violently I pulled over in a rest area. Checked my tires and lug nuts everything seemed fine. Got back on [XXX] and about 5 miles later it happened again. On Friday [XXX] going to holly hill I hit a rough spot and my jeep wrangler shook violently again!! I caller a dodge dealer service department explained what happened and the young man called it a (DEATH WOBBLE) VERY SCARY!!! INFORMATION REDACTED PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6)
I almost actually died twice on a road trip when i hit uneven pavement on major interstates and had to come to a complete stop in the middle of a major highway with semi trucks swerving all around me. This jeep has the death wobble and I can't get anyone to recreate the issue to get it fixed.

2020 Jeep Rubicon - wife was driving 60 mph on highway, went over a small bump and the steering wheel began shaking violently causing her to lose control. She was able to gain control and get to the side of the road, almost getting hit by several vehicles. She turned the Jeep off and restarted. She began traveling again, going slower this time, and it didn't happen again for about 30 minutes. She again went over a small bump (the dividers in the road where it switches to a bridge) and it began to shake bad again. I read online that this is a known problem. This is not safe. She could have been hit, or she could have hit someone. She is so terrified, she will no longer drive the vehicle.
The Jeep has had a deadly death wobble. it has been awful to drive Jeep has parts on back order for 6 months. it continues to throw me off the road or into oncoming traffic.
I experience extreme shaking of the steering wheel when traveling in the freeway and hitting a small imperfection on the road causing the care to shake and the steering wheel to vibrate violently to the point i have slow down abruptly from 70MPH to under 50MPH. Took the Jeep to have it check after a day the dealer was not able to reproduce the issue, advised them of the speed that it happens at and are not willing to work on it. They are asking me to pick the car up. No warning prior to issue happening, you can be driving smoothly down the road up to 80MPH once the imperfection in the road is hit the car starts vibrating/shaking.
My husband and I have had 4 incidents of shaking of this vehicle after turning slightly when hitting a bump in the road whether traveling 45 or 65 miles per hour. Initially when leased had some steering issues which we attributed to tire pressure. 1st incident occurred 11/20 sent to garage and had a steering adjustment due to recall. In March of this year two other incidents. Complaints have been sent to the company, a case manager assigned. Currently in the garage, the diagnostic was negative and the car had to be broken down and a new stabilizer applied. Did not work according to tech, shaking was worse. I am waiting to hear from cm no verbal contact at all. The car is unsafe. I am not sure if anyone has reported however on line reports on electronic media are numerous. I feel it needs to be investigated due to the last incident on a 4 lane road passing a truck was scary. I do think death should be a reason and I think it is sad to have to contact an attorney to drive safety. Let me know if you need further details.
On 4 occassions two while being towed behind our RV the Jeep started jumping violently. Looked on the camera and felt like we were driving over big boulders but there were none. Thankfully we were going slow enough to stop without having an accident. On all four times it did not come back when we were going again. We are terrified of driving it and more so of towing it. Dealer found nothing wrong... We don't understand.
I just bought the Jeep and going home on highway at speed of 50-60. Jeep was going left and right (wobbling) and steering was little shaky. I thought it may be wind and hold on to steering careful. My wife was following me in different car and she noticed that too. Why I am going left and right but still stayed in lane. After coming home I did google search I see many reference of "death wobble". I see Jeep knows this issue and it is really sad to see this issue in 2020. I may return this vehicle. I am still under 250 miles / 5 day return period. I will talk to dealer in the morning. Please investigate and do the right thing. I can't imagine my daughter behind the shaking steering. It is so dangerous. Please fix it.
