The contact owns a 2019 Jeep Wrangler. The contact stated while driving at 50 MPH, the steering wheel was shaking significantly causing the contact to almost lose control of the vehicle. There was no warning light illuminated. The contact stated that the failure ceased upon depressing the brake pedal and coming to a stop. However, the failure reoccurred several times while driving. The vehicle was taken to the dealer, where it was diagnosed that the steering damper and the tie rod needed to be replaced. The contact related the failure to an unknown recall that was previously completed on the vehicle. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was unknown.
