Hit tree at 15 to 20 mph. Airbags did not deploy. Passenger incurred fractured sternum from seatbelt. Car totaled due to damaged bumper and bent frame.
Airbag delay in deployment and seatbelt failure to lock. Almost direct head on collision. After contact with the other vehicle (full size truck), my body went forward and hit over the visor in the middle. On the return to my original position I watched the airbag deploy. The seatbelt never locked. I also do not recall the airbag fully deploying. Vehicle is available to check computer. No one has inspected the vehicle and I had no vehicle maintenance issues prior.
Passenger side airbag sensor registers not on even when adult sitting in seat. This is not every time someone sits, only sometimes. Strange".. I want my passengers to be safe but how do I know? this never happened until the Jeep dealer install an after market trailer braking system. Could that have affected the sensor"....
