My 2018 Wrangler will not go straight I need to correct all the time. If I look off to my side mirrors or my instruments when I look back to the road I must correct. If there is a wind it becomes a serious problem. I requested the dealer fix the problem and they replaced the steering shock.that did not solve the problem. Help
Jeep violently shakes when hitting a road irregularity at highway speeds. The wheel wobbling stops only when significantly reducing speeds. Reducing at that rate of speed can be very dangerous. I have had 4 steering dampeners replaced by the dealer. Having owned multiple Jeep, I never expected to experience death wobble on a brand new stock vehicle. The dealer is waiting for a track bar and new stabilizer to install. I am not confident in their ability to resolve this issue without aftermarket parts. This is an unsafe condition that needs immediate attention. Jeep looks at this as an exaggerated issue and have been quoted saying no one has died from death wobble. Do we have to wait until someone dies for it to be a real safety issue?
I leased my Wrangler October 28 2018. Within two weeks I got what is called the 'death wobble' the steering shakes uncontrollably and the front tires shake side to side when you hit a bump going over 50mph. Took vehicle in to dealer. After waiting over two weeks steering damper was replaced. Two months later same issue. Took back to dealer new steering damper put on along with what they said was 'other issues ' I now know they also replaced the track bar. Two weeks later same issue. Took to another dealer whom I heard delt with this more. They again replaced the track bar. Two days later same issue. I filed a complaint with the manufacturer. They say it doesn't fall in the lemon law. I have no answers and am forced to drive an unsafe vehicle under 45mph. I have no answers and the dealership says there is nothing they can do.
"death wobble" when travelling at 65 mph or faster and hit bumps or irregularities in the the road. The whole front end shakes violently from side to side until the vehicle is slowed to less than 30 mph.
The contact owns a 2018 Jeep Wrangler. While driving approximately 70 mph onto a bridge, the front end of the vehicle suddenly began to shake and vibrate violently. After reducing the speed to 40 mph, the shaking and vibration ceased. The vehicle was taken to walker Jeep Chrysler (102 orchard park rd, hurricane, wv) where a suspension damper was installed, but the failure continued. The contact indicated that suspension dampers were installed on three separate occasions, but the failure continued. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was 17,000.

Takata recall I purchased a 2018 Jeep sahara with 18 miles on it and have brought it to the shop 2 times for death wobble. It still has the issue and its getting worse. The Jeep dealership seems to have no answers on how to fix it. The last issue made me slow down to approximately 20mph on the highway nearly resulting in a rear ending accident.
The contact owns a 2018 Jeep Wrangler. While driving over 45 mph, the vehicle vibrated violently. The contact pulled the vehicle over to regain control. There were no warning indicators illuminated. The vehicle was taken to johnson Dodge Chrysler Jeep Ram (481 us-46, budd lake, NJ 07828, (908) 850-8700) where it was diagnosed that the steering stabilizer needed to be replaced. The vehicle was repaired twice, but the failure recurred. The contact scheduled an appointment to have the vehicle repaired a third time. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was 15,000.
Steering locked-up while driving - steering wheel would not turn to the left past approximately 11:00 going approximately 45-50 mph. Steering returned when speed dropped below approximately 40 mph but continued to freeze and free for approximately the next 0.5 mile traveling at approximately 45 mph.
I have a 2018 Jeep Wrangler jl and since I got the truck in July 2018, there has been at least 10 times during which I'm driving on the highway going over 50 miles per hour where I will hit a bump in the road and the steering wheel starts shaking violently. It happened 2 times today during a 2 hour drive. It can last for over a minute and I need to slow down considerably to get it to stop.
While driving at approx 60-65mph, in 30 degree weather and on the highway, I was coming around a bend and the steering locked up. I could not turn my steering wheel and almost collided with a tractor trailer and was heading straight into the median. After pulling on the steering wheel and slowing down, the steering then loosend and my car swerved almost hitting the car in the next lane over. This has happened on 2 other separate occasions besides the one just explained. I'm very concerned over the safety of my family. The dealership 'couldn't duplicate the problem' so no repair was done. This is a serious problem and needs to be addressed asap.
At highway speeds after crossing an un-even expansion joint or pothole (straight and sweeping curves) the front end starts violently wobbling/shaking all the way through to the steering wheel. My 2018 Wrangler jl 2dr has only 1,030 miles on it and is bone stock other than mopar side steps. This happened 5 times on a 60 mile drive.
Death wobble. The steering system in the vehicle will shake violently after hitting a bump at speeds between 40mph and 70mph. The shaking of the steering system continues until the vehicle is slowed to speeds around 40mph and below, at which time the shaking fades until it dissipates completely. The shaking cannot always be anticipated and can cause panic with the driver, especially a driver that has never experienced the shaking before or has never driven the vehicle before. The vehicle has been taken to the dealership to address the issue. The steering damper was replaced, but the issue was not resolved. The vehicle is scheduled to go back to the dealership for further inspection of the issue. At this point, I would deem the vehicle unsafe to drive at highway speeds.
Death wobble if I hit any little bump or crease in the road. I have to stop the vehicle completely for it to stop. Also if I let go of the stearing wheel, yhe vehicle vears off to the right or left.
Steering wheel will randomly lock and not allow the car to make turns. Issue will occur while driving at low speeds or parked. I have video of the vehicle turned on and the steering wheel not being able to turn.
Since I bought my Jeep Wrangler jl, I have been experiencing the death wobble, so the dealership has changed the steering damper for three times, but I have the same issue. This is so ridiculous, and they just said that I have to wait for other time to change it with an aftermarket piece. Driving this car is extremely dangerous, it doesn't matter the speed.
Car was brought in 3 times for death wobble. First could not replicate, then part was replaced with a part removed from another vehicle as the required part was on nationwide back-order. That part was defective, car went back in the shop and waited for new part to come in. On 3/6/19 the death wobble reoccurred with my vehicle. It does not stop until you reduce your speed - difficult to do in heavy traffic. Currently have not received response from dealer to bring car back in. They had fca engineer look at it the last time it was in and will not send me copy of the documentation.

Happens anytime after hitting bump, pothole, bridge joint; on any type of road and speeds from 40mph to 80mph+. issue does not resolve its self until slowing the vehicle down to very low speeds, sometimes as low as 30mph.* 'upgrades' or any aftermarket parts/work have been done to the Jeep.
