Weld quality on frame are very questionable. When my Jeep twists while off-roading, it sounds like it wants to tear itself apart and the doors dont want to shut close when the vehicle is fully flexed. This doesn't happen to the newer 2019+ models with obvious better welds on frame. It gets annoying with all the crunching noise the body makes when I drive on uneven roads. Again, not seen on newer models. Also, the steering stabilizer was replaced and still my steering wheel start shaking when I drive on uneven roads. I have taken my Jeep to the dealer 4 times complaining about the radio and it keeps shutting off and volume freezing.

I am becoming increasingly concerned with the steering issue in my 2018 jl rubicon. The recall on the steering dampener was performed 06/06/19. The vehicle is lightly driven but lately has seen more mileage. Unfortunately the replacement dampener did not correct the wandering and drifting issue. The vehicle will not track straight and must be steered all the time to remain in a lane consistently. At highway speeds the steering issue is very pronounced. It becomes difficult to keep the vehicle tracking straight with the wandering issue and slop in the wheel. I have another appointment on 01/24/20 to reexamine the steering problem.

Vehicle wanders at highway speeds and is very hard to keep in lane constantly making small adjustments to keep it between white lines.any wind magnifies the problem. Dealer installed new steering stabilizer and flashed power steering cpu.helped a little for a while.have read blogs and checked alignment chamber air pressure etc.noting seems to help. Seems to me the power steering is way to sensitive when driving straight.my wife won't drive it and when I drive I have to Focus without distractions to keep it on the road. Very dangerous to be on the road.would like a case number to see if I can the the problem resolved

I have had a death wobble on my 2018 Jeep Wrangler jl. I took it into the dealership where I bought it and they said it was repaired. On my way home 82 miles away. It continued to have the death wobble. I called the dealership and they recommended I take it to a different dealership because they could not fix it. The next closest is over 2 hours away and a rental would be required. I have had so many issues getting this resolved.

I have a 2018 Jeep Wrangler jlu sahara with 4,186 miles on it. I am experiencing very loose steering on my vehicle. The steering wheel has a dead spot of about 2 inches in either direction from center.this becomes increasingly noticeable as speed increases and once at highway speeds is extremely unstable. As to get the vehicle to respond / make even minor steering adjustment as you drive, takes a substantial movement of the steering wheel. This leads to the vehicle swerving all over the road and is is really hard to control. It is truly not safe, especially higher speeds. After I purchases the vehicle and experienced my issue, I have come to learn that is it a very well known wide spread problem that is going unaddressed by fca (Fiat Chrysler automobiles) and is being even more ignored by the service departments of most of their dealerships (very frustrating to be told there is no issues when everyone knows that there is). This topic is all over internet forums, on line article and on line videos outlining the same experience and outraged because no one is acknowledging this dangerous issue.

I recently had a local Jeep dealer install a mopar factory 2" lift kit on my 2018 Jeep Wrangler rubicon a few weeks ago. Since the 2" lift was installed, when the Jeep hits a highway break, bump/pothole, anywhere between 30mph up to normal highway speeds, I get the "death wobble" in the steering wheel and the vehicle shakes violently. This Jeep still has the factory original tires and rims installed, and has no other add-ons to the vehicle. I have to slow the vehicle down to 25 mph for the death wobble to stop. I traveled 35 miles a few days ago on a state highway at speeds between 40-65 mph, in 32 degree temps, and the vehicle went into a "death wobble" (7) times, five of which I have on video for the upcoming lawsuits. It appears more vulnerable to a death wobble if the front drivers wheel hits a bump or pothole first. Additionally it appears to enter into a death wobble more easily if you are on a curve in a left hand directional turn. All known recalls have been performed to this vehicle that I know of, to include the updated work and inspection to the steering stabilizer dampener/shock. Someone is going to die from this issue if it is not fixed if they haven't already, either the driver of the Jeep, or a unwitting party in oncoming traffic, especially if this happens on an ice covered road! I have videos of the death wobble, but no photos, which are all that are allowed for posting on this website for this complaint. I would be happy to share the videos with NHTSA investigators if they wish to contact me.
