Bought this Jeep new in Manchester TN, specifically for Mail Route (by the way, this is a RHD right hand drive - I mean, it is Trail Rated, right?). However, my route is roughly 90 miles a day, 5 days a week (a rural route), not your city streets. There are a few times when the weather is nice or on long weekends the top comes off and we enjoy, but the route does put a lot of miles on it.
Since it's purchase on March 2018, it now has 53,172 miles. There has been numerous times when it catches a good jar to the rear wheels, it trips the engine light, then almost instantly the traction light comes on also, which throws it into LIMP MODE - which means now you can't get over 3000rpms. Try running a mail route NOW.
There may be more to it but it is now on its 4th cam shaft position sensor, and changing them out takes only a few min, and seems to do the trick for maybe 3 weeks to even 3 months. ANOTHER PROBLEM IS - maybe as many as 7 times while on the route, the thing has just DIED. Talking about already making turns and then NOTHING - or on a long stretch and running good, closing in on stop sign and letting off the gas slowing down, and again hit the brakes only to find out you better push a bit harder because it's DIED. This is NO MINOR PROBLEM,
