The instrument cluster panel on my 2018 Jeep Wrangler shut down in December, 2024, with no advance warning. I purchased my Jeep in March, 2019, and per my dealership, it currently has 38,488 miles. I was told that I would have to bring my Jeep and leave it with them so they could order the part and replace the instrument cluster panel. They advised the repair would be completed by 1/3/2025. When I contacted them on 1/3, I was advised that the instrument cluster was on back order and had no additional information as to when it would be received. I have received no further information from the dealership. However, I found that there was a recall by the FCA US LLC on this part which included 2018 Jeep Wranglers. I called the FCA US LLC Customer Center on 1/7/2025 and after being on hold for 90 minutes, I finally was able to speak with -??Dave-?? and explain the issue. Although he advised that my Jeep was not recalled, he created my Case #[XXX], and advised the Specialty Department would call me within 1 business day. As of today, 1/10/2025 I still have not received any such call, nor have I heard anything more from the dealership. How am I supposed to get this fixed when nobody is able to help me?! My vehicle started showing the airbag light on and it ended up being the clock spring, many jeep wranglers have being recalled because the same issue. The clock spring is the one that controls cruise, airbag, horn, traction, etc. i took it to the dealership and they said the vehicle was showing the B1B02 code, witch the the same why all the other jeeps were recalled but there is not a recall yet for my year. I want to people be aware of the importance of it, because in a crash the airbag will not deploy and even not in a crash the cruise control could malfunction anytime. I got my vehicle repaired today for a total of $1137 that wasn-??t covered my extended warranty because they alleged the clock spring/airbag problem is reported very often. This is a really safety matter for all the jeep owners!!!

While driving at 55 mph the brake light, service abs system, check engine light, service 4wd, service transmission, loss of power steering, and engine cooling fan ran very fast. I was lucky to pull off the road and put the vehicle in Park. The 4 Way flashers would blink erratically. Engine still running wouldn't come out of Park. I turned the vehicle off.l let it set a few minutes. I then restarted the vehicle and it shifted into gear and drove home with the check engine light on. The next day it had no check engine light.

The navigation/radio screen has delamination. At first, I thought it was just cosmetic. Starting in July of 2024, it started doing things independently, such as changing channels, the source, and switching between navigation and backup camera; on [XXX], it started turning on Bluetooth and calling 911. I can not turn it on because it continues to call 911. The vehicle only has 20,900 miles. The local dealership and Jeep are aware of the problem and have offered to repair it at a cost to me. This is a manufacture defect that needs to be fixed/recalled by Jeep. INFORMATION REDACTED PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6)

Incident date: [XXX], electrical problems causing loss of steering, 65 miles per hour, EXTREME action required to keep on road. 2018 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited Sport (4 door), 3.6L engine, bought new July 2018, Everett Washington. RPM and speedometer gauges went to zero, loss of power steering, all dashboard warning lights blinking on/off, digital speedometer only showed dashes (- - -) windshield wipers came on scraping bare hot window (outside air temperature 104 degree F), radiator fan went full on, engine kept running but miss-firing/rough, managed to get off freeway and stopped, turned off ignition for 5 minutes. On restart, all errors (except Check Engine Light) disappeared and car appeared normal, no stored warning messages. This is second occurrence. Picture is similar to my errors (it is from Jeep Forum, [XXX] Location: [XXX]. What is going to happen if I am off road and it dies" Or on a Los Angeles Freeway" I might be dead. 1. Both driver and passenger front seat latches that allow seat to fold forward to access rear seats have broken at approximately 70,000 miles. This will be the second time for the driver side to be repaired. It was repaired back in 2018 under warranty when brand new and has now failed. Currently the cost to repair is approximately $500. The replacement parts are made of flimsy plastic that will break again. 2. Head unit for radio display and climate controls failed at approximately 60,000 miles. Not covered by warranty. Paid over $1,500 to replace.

Within 1 year of getting our Wrangler we experienced issues with the instrument panel short circuit and also the rear camera stopped functioning. I brought it to the dealership and they said it would require hours to repair them and it wasn't covered under warrantee. I've now seen 2 recalls regarding these issues, Short Circuit: [XXX] : [XXX] While I intend to inquire about these and the latter recall is fairly new, i haven't received notice of either. Additionally, in 2022, far within my warranty, the aux battery that restarts the car for the stop/start function, failed to maintain a charge. The car shut off in the middle of an exit ramp on the highway. It was particularly concerning because the engine was stalling anytime I stepped on the brakes. I brought it in for service and Jeep charged me for the entire replacement of the aux battery since it wasn't under warranty. I'm not sure if this is a recurring issue but I wanted to bring it to your attention also. INFORMATION REDACTED PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6)

The instrument panel cluster LED screen occasionally freezes and does not accurately reflect the gear the vehicle is in, speed, etc. Recently the screen froze and continued to display P (indicating vehicle in park) even while the vehicle was shifted to Reverse and Drive. This presents a serious safety risk as the gauge cluster indicates the vehicle is in park when it is in fact in gear. Also, as the display remains on even when the vehicle is turned off the battery may run dead leaving the driver stranded. Our local dealer was unable to get the vehicle to reproduce the issue while in their shop. They advised they were not able to identify an issue. However, we have experienced this issue on 3 separate occasions. This issue was not preceded by any warning lights or audible signals. The issue first occurred at 65,540 miles in the time we have owned it. Unfortunately, I cannot say if this was an issue with the vehicle before we purchased it in July of 2024. We have video evidence of this issue, but the clips are too large to attach here. Please advise if there is somewhere we can email them.

After starting the Jeep Wrangler it will not shift into drive and it says shifter needs service, then ABS needs service start stop needs service, it keeps flashing these warnings. It can sit for a hour or day then becomes driveable, took to local mechanic he says it's a Jeep dealer problem (had several people with this problem) they did repairs, but call them and they say never heard of this problem. It's a 2018 Jeep Wrangler.

The sensors, in particular the blind spot warning, randomly light up and stay on until the vehicle is turned off. Radio and navigation system randomly shuts off, and check engine light goes on and off randomly. While driving at night, my entire dash flashed a red warning that there was no oil in the vehicle. I immediately pulled over at a gas station. It was dark, I couldn-??t see, and it was 2am in a town I was unfamiliar with. I added 1 quart of oil ( I couldn-??t really see the dipstick). The warning light went off, and the check engine light came on. I went 30 minutes to my destination and had the car towed to the dealership the next day. They said it was an o2 sensor, and that there was TOO MUCH oil in the vehicle so they drained it and did an oil change. I picked it up, drove less than 5 miles, and the check engine light came back on. I immediately returned to the dealership. They had it for several days before telling me that I had to replace the Catalytic Converters (2 of them) because I had overfilled the oil. They deemed it my fault. Since then the sensor problems continued, and the check engine light would randomly go on and off. Now it-??s at the dealership again because it was leaking oil after an oil change. The dealership, and inspector from my extended warranty are saying that it has a blown engine because there was too little oil (in spite of NO SENSOR going off warning that the oil was low). Extended warranty inspector wants me to authorize a complete engine tear down for further inspection ($7000) and the dealership says I should just replace the engine ($11,000).
