While in cruise control mode on a highway doing speed of 70 mph when coming to a slight bump in the road on a curve causes the vehicle to go into severe shaking mode, even after canceling the cruise control by either braking or canceling manually it continues. The only way it stops is if I pull off the highway and stop the car completely.

While driving approximately 40 mph through a double curve on a city street the steering locked up on my 2018 Jeep wranlger. A steering error, check engine light, traction control and ABS light all came on. The vehicle had to be towed back to the dealer. This is now the 3rd time the vehicle has been taken to the dealer (twice via tow). Each time, the scanner has given the same codes yet fca has returned the vehicle to me stated its fixed. The steering locking up could have resulted in an accident harming myself or another vehicle.

On March 16th drove to work and parked car. Left work and got into car in parking lot. Upon trying to start the car we experienced multiple electrical issues as well as loss of power steering, traction control, stability control, engine start/stop failure, push start unresponsive. Car finally started although multiple lights remained on. Drove the car slowly to fca dealer closest to home and explained issues to service advisor tyler pennington. Dealer had car in service for approximately 3 weeks until today 4/3/2020. Picked up from service manager al begil. Mr. Begil explained that they never could physically find the source of the issues despite going through many wiring harnesses, modules, fuse boxes, etc. Communicated with fca engineering multiple times over the three weeks. Seems like it was engineering advised dealer to try something and if that doesn't work try let engineering know and then they would try something else. Our service adviser said that they had never seen anything like it. When I picked up the vehicle, I was told to drive around town slowly for several days in case power steering goes out again. Don't go on highway. Paperwork from dealer doesn't show any correction for concern. Called fca customer support upon arriving home. Customer support advised that my issues needed to be "escalated" and that someone would reach out to me on Monday or Tuesday. I now go through weekend without vehicle having to go to work every day. Fca customer service said they can't offer a loaner because we got car from dealer. Extremely unprofessional service department at dealer. Not much better from fca since I won't hear back for at least 3-4 days. Have notes of conversation with service manager that scared my wife and I to death. Just too much to write here.

Stabilizer control and throttle control light came on. Vehicle was taken in for repair. Vehicle was picked up and the steering felt light. As I'm driving on the highway I hit a bump and the steering wheel began to shake violently. I slowed down and it stopped. I called the dealership and explained what happened and I'm getting the run around. Claim it could be warp rotors. It's not warped rotors after I did some research. I found out this vehicle has what's called a death wobble.

While driving the posted speed limits, on any street, I am constantly fighting with the steering wheel jerks out of my hands, even though I had several professionals look at my tires, wheels, suspension components, tie rods, stabilizer bar, steering dampener, ball joints, etc. My Jeep has this massive death wabble, where I constantly have to fight the steering wheel! on 15+ different times (it does not matter if I am driving on a hwy 70mph, secondary St's 40mph, 5-lane St's at 50mph, or while driving in a subdivision at 25mph), just trying to turn my Jeep becomes a huge challenge, even on a good day! I believe that my electric power steering is also defective too, the steering wheel violently jerks me into oncoming traffic, & into others lanes without any warnings! I finally contacted 'synergy manufacturing' who told me that all of the steering components on the jl's are nothing but cheap garbage, that all needs to be replaced! they have a replacement kit, which fixes the problems, for less than $1,200! which sounds like a bargain, if it means that my family remains safe, compared to being killed in yet another fca death trap! also, one's fire retardant blanket (under the hood), is falling apart! I only have 1,800 original miles on it, its never even been off road yet! I've gone to 7 different Jeep dealers, & nobody has any new replacement parts, & all of their customers need to get in line before they shall even look at my Jeep! I would expect a flawless running & driving Jeep jl Wrangler unlimited rubicon, after spending well over $60,000!!! can you please help me? all one has to do, is search any of the Jeep jl forums, search youtube, e.g., & one shall see thousands of exactly the same complaints! never again fca, you lost me as a customer, its a miracle that my family & I aren't dead!!!

Driving along highway speeds, 70-75mph and hit slightly uneven terrain (the lip from a bridge onto the highway) the vehicle began shaking uncontrollably. This continued for a while until I eventually was forced to slow down by pulling towards the shoulder. I have researched this problem and I can see numerous people calling it by the term "Jeep death wobble". the issue is roughly the exact same as everyone else. My vehicle has been checked by the dealer and they state they serviced it by replacing the steering damper however the issue has still continued after that. It is random however extremely scary when traveling at highway speeds and having the vehicle uncontrollably shake until you have to slow down, which is not easy to do on a busy highway.

My Jeep began wobbling a few months after I purchased it last July 2018.wobbling has only occurred while driving on the highway. They did a computer update last year that was suppose to fix the problem but on 10/5/19 my Jeep began to wobble uncontrollably any time I reached 50 or above. I took it in on Monday 10/13 and was told the problem was repaired but the next day while doing 50mph it began to wobble. The temperature reads 800 degrees randomly since the start and they finally told me problem was fixed. The cars stalls randomly at red lights and I need to turn it off and restart it. When this happens the gas petal locks and I am not able to do anything unless I restart the car. This also happened one time while I was reversing the car when I shift to drive the car did not move and the petal locked. My radio has been replaced 3 times because it does not work properly and they though that was the reason why the temperature was reading 800 degrees. Still read 800 degree 3 radio's later for. The engine makes a click sound every so often not sure what that is about.

Have had the Jeep for only 3 weeks now and on the second week the "engine light" turned on, took it to the dealership and was told it was due to not closing tight the gas cap tight when I put gas but the thing is that "I" had not even fueled it because I did not have the Jeep long enough to need to fuel it up. The "sespension", steering is very wobbly to and from any where I drive it in town or city and more so when I drive it on the freeway, it is a task and sruggle; arms and hands are sore after I get home for me to try to keep it steady, if I do not stay Focus and hold tight onto the steering wheel when driving it, the Jeep will go on either to the left or right. I have to be very extra focused and careful when changing lanes as the manouver when doing so or streering to drive/changing lanes is not pleasant nor steady but wobbly and if I do not hold on tight to the steering wheel, the Jeep will go off the road. The "breaks", when I break, the Jeep is late in stoping, I have to calculate to break way ahead in order not to hit the vehicle in front of me also when starting back up from my foot on the break, it does not take off as soon as I let off the break as I expext it to but jerks instead taking time to drive on and move. Also when turning to the right or left, the suspension feels like the street or road is really bumpy when its not. Regret buying a Jeep.

Jeep jlu began "death wobble" at 70mph while on I-485 (speed limit is 70). Had to slow down to 40mph to get it to stop, which almost caused a crash with vehicles behind/beside me slowing to match. Since then, "death wobble" has occurred 2-3 times per week on various roads. Speeds 50-70. I now have 3 roads where I can replicate it and will be going back to the dealership. Was told months ago by dealership "it's not death wobble; sometimes stuff gets stuck in the wheels and makes a clunking sound." Sorry, not sorry. Entire Jeep front end felt like it was on hydraulics.

The car shakes uncontrollably when driving on the highway and after hitting a bump or imperfection in the road. I have had the problem fixed once before a few months ago. Last wee when driving back from dropping my son off at college the car shook uncontrollably at least a dozen times. The car seemed to shake at higher speeds and I would have to pull the car off the road to almost a complete stop to make the shaking stop.I also had the car repaired for the same issues at scap Jeep in fairfield ct a few months ago. They said it was the steering damper. The car was fine for a few months but the problem came back again. The incident happened on 8/25. We fear taking the car on the highway.

I do not know the exact cause, but the vehicle has extremely loose steering and wanders all over the lane while driving at all speeds. Very difficult to control vehicle which makes it extremely unsafe to drive at higher speeds. Combine the two with a bump in the road, and the vehicle jumps to the side. Loose steering is easily noticed while the vehicle is turned off and parked.

While stepping on the brakes, the service shifter light comes on, power steering goes out, then the dashboard goes crazy with all sorts of warnings blinking and dinging: Sway bar, stability control, blind spot alert, auto park, etc. Temp goes up and down, speedometer goes crazy. When the vehicle is shut off and re-started, it usually starts as normal. Most occurrences have been when slowing down (in line at a drive thru, approaching a stoplight). The Jeep has been in the shop 4 times. This service shifter late first came on June 23 and it occurred four times that day.first they repaired the power steering. The problem happened again and they replaced the module in the steering column. The problem happened again and the dealership could not duplicate the problem. It happened again and the vehicle had to be towed to the dealership where it is still sitting

Driving down road yesterday with no rain, completely dry and 89 degrees, all the sudden my Jeep makes a dinging noise and the service electronic stability control light comes on. I called dealership they said if it came back on or didn't go off to schedule an apt. I ask if safe to drive, response was I guess not sure, should not hurt anything. This same dealership had to enter a code into my computer last week because my Jeep was automatic, but when you got in it, it says depress clutch and turn key, for straight drive. Also the center console lights some time would work and sometime not, after the update that stopped. Not sure what to do about the ESC light, it did go off.

Vehicle shakes uncontrollably when hitting a bump at speeds of approximately 50mph or higher. It feels as if you've popped a tire. Shaking will not stop until you slow down significantly. This issue is often called the 'death wobble.' No modifications to the vehicle, less than 7 months old at the time of the first incident. Consistently happens at least once every other week.

Trying to avoid a large dirt clump left in the road by the road maintenence crew I swerved to the left at 35 miles an hour and the esm/ESC light came on and the Jeep took over the car I could not apply the brakes or control the steering the speed did not deminish and the vehicle crossed an intersection rolling up an embankment so that the front of the Jeep went in the air and came down hard causing the frame to break and the front axle to bend. If I could have at least been able to control the steering I could have turned in the direction I had intended to go this could have been avoided. Jeep is now trying to fix the control system after the damage was repaired. The light remained on even after the Jeep stopped. I see others have had trouble with this system. I had a 2012 rubicon that had trouble with this system and took it to the dealer numerous times and they could not find the problem so I traded off for another vehicle. This also cause me a broken back. The seat belt was deployed and the air bags did not deploy.I was on a county road and was going to turn left onto another county road but could not turn the wheel.these roads are dirt and were just graded leaving loose dirt and ice which were not there when I had traveled this road about 2 hours earlier. I was in two wheel drive and have fount blogs where others have had this problem and that you should turn the system off on dirt roads.

!!! car currently @ dealership for 5th time for same issue !!! when driving @ hwy speeds and hit a bump divot or pothole the entire Jeep violently vibrates shakes and sways from front to back. After the latest "fix" now it still vibrates shakes sways and now bounces the vehicle into another lane my family & I nearly hit another vehicle on the hwy on Saturday 3/23/19. We have had the vehicle into dealership 4 times since January 2019 for them to fix this issue and fca/dealership have no idea how to remedy this issue. After this last incident on 3/23/19 I don't want my family or myself in this Jeep. I was very scary on 3/23/19 being bounced into another lane with other cars right behind and along side of me. It was a white knuckle driving experience I don't want to happen again. Its dangerous unsafe alarming & threatening to all drivers!
