Drivers seat stuck tight against steering wheel after moving it to let back seat passengers out. Will not move! Totally undriveable! The seat position return broke. I googled the problem and discovered this is a known issue!!! But, there is no recall. Will cost me $800 to repair!

I have already had this replaced, at a direct expense to me, due to the concern. Jeep has a Technical Service Bulletin (S2023000009) about the passenger seat. It began as a popping/knocking noise in the butt/inside of the seat. My dealer had to replace the lower seat frame/track completely, based on the concern and the bulletin. Before replacement, the seat was audibly broken, with great concern for the safety of the passenger in the event of a crash. Can this be looked into and why it is not a recall? If a recall, I assume I can be reimbursed for my out of pocket expense. I did not want to wait for a recall, as I was concerned for my passengers' safety, as the inside frame of the seat was broken. The dealer told me since it was just a TSB, and not a recall, it was not covered by Jeep.

The driver and passenger seats handle to move seats folding forward and back constantly break. Both have been replaced/repaired at least 2-3 times each for the time I have owned the jeep (2 years).

passenger seat came unlocked from track and moved freely back and forth in track to stops. when passenger exited vehicle seat back folded forward and would not fold back upright making the seat unusable. the drivers' seat has same mechanical operation as the passenger seat. if this same problem were to occur with the drivers seat this would lead to possible loss of control and or accident. this seat system has weak plastic parts that have been known to fail for some time now without being addressed by the manufacturer.

While driving over the summer in 2021 the rear seat latch came seat and seat was thrown forward. One of the kids threw it back in place and didn-??t think much of it. Over the next couple of the times the seats were placed down it clasp wouldn-??t go down. Then one day a couple months ago the seat was attempted to be put back in place, we noticed that the thin plastic retainer for the pin was broken. Depending how the seat is pushed back in place it locks sometimes and other times does not. This poses a potentially safety hazard. I originally purchased the part to replace it, however since this is a safety lock I reached out to Jeep. Jeep indicated there was no recalls on the part, even though I have seen others will the same complaint. There are several concerns with the latching seat mechanism and if you do not know its broken and the seat gets thrown forward it can be a real painful experience. The Jeep was in for service for the top ripping multiple times and being fixed under warranty. There is anyone that could have broken the latch without telling or knowingincluding us or the dealer. Ultimately it is a ver poor design and a true safety hazard. We believe this matter needs further investigation.

The back seat in my vehicle came off it's mounting points and partially exited the back window during a rear end accident. The seat was folded forward at the time so no one could have been sitting in it in that configuration but: - I don't have confidence that in the regular position it would have held in place with passengers, and - If I had the top off the rear seat would have left the vehicle, possibly injuring others around the crash.

Both side seat release levers to let passengers in and out of the back seat keep breaking. Fast Google search online shows it is a wide spread two door issue. This is a major safety issue as it make egress hard making passengers need to climb over center console. In case of a fire this could cause much harm.

The seat adjustment latch in the driver side. The quick release latch and the cabling associated with it locked up causing the seat to become unlatched and recline fully while vehicle was in motion. Seat also slid forward and back along the roll track unable to lock into position.

The contact owns a 2018 Jeep Wrangler. The contact stated that the vehicle was at a stand still, when the rear passenger seat failed to release and the plastic adjuster disintegrated. The vehicle was taken to the local dealer zappone Chrysler Jeep Dodge Ram clifton park located at 1780 al-9, clifton park, NY 12065, (518) 383-2277, where it was diagnosed with needing the rear seat release assembly to be replaced. The contact was informed that the parts were not available. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer had not been informed of failure. The failure mileage was approximately 12,000.

Jeep is less than 12 months old and the stitching in the middle of the rear seat is missing. Have tried to tell the dealership that it is not "normal wear and tear". nothing sits in the middle of the back seat. The drivers seat stitching would go way before due to wear. Dealer in longmont, co told us that there was nothing that he could do after he made us wait weeks and we had to drive to the dealership multiple times. Multiple calls were made that were ignored. Finally we went in and were told that we should bring it in the next day and they would get it taken care of and that they had to have the pictures we sent them sent off to make sure it could be warranted. Nope. Another lie from the dealership. What a shame. I love my Jeep, but the serive that comes with the "Jeep cares" and all of the extra warranty mumbo-jumbo is a joke. When you pay $55K+ for a vehicle, you would at least expect it to last a year.

The first day I purchased the Jeep there was obvious steering wheel play as I drove home on the freeway. Three weeks later the steering is still loose and I am concerned that there will be a crash. At 70 miles per hour it is very noticeable that the steering system has too much play. It seems that there may be a screw(s) loose on the steering shaft or a problem in the steering gearbox itself. While driving you have to constantly correct the steering due to the vehicle wandering from lane-to-lane. The second problem occurred today as the drivers seat back fails to lock in place after getting items out of the back seat after leaving the grocery store. The seat back simply rocks back and forth as I accelerate and brake. The problem appears to be with the strap that allows the seat to be tilted. This strap at the base of the seat goes into the airbag housing for side impacts. This strap does not engage the mechanism to keep the seat in an upright position.

The driver's seat emits a terrible squeaking noise. I took it to one dealer who didn't fix it. Then to a second. I'm still waiting on a part and it's been two weeks. It will be five weeks with this problem before they even attempt to resolve it. I've owned the car for three months.
