I got this vehicle new to me. It is a used 2017 Jeep wrangler Rubicon hard rock edition. I got it with 22,527 Miles on it. I had the vehicle for 3 weeks and then the check engine light turned on at 22,543 Miles. Took it to the local dealer near me and they said my oil pump went out. I mean they are just going based on what their scanner says. So they replace it under my extended warranty and I go about my business.
Then not even a week and half later the check engine light comes back on. This time they say my thermostat has gone bad. Now when I was watching the temperature on the dash it was not over heating nor was it running super cold. So the thermostat did not stay stuck open or closed. And it has not been super hot its been on the cooler side so you would think it would run cold of it was stuck open or over heat if stuck closed. I drove it straight to the dealer once the light popped on and they said looks like the thermostat. So they replaced the Thermostat. I have not even had it back for a full two days and its now got a check engine light on for an Intake Air Temp sensor.
I am assuming I either got sold a vehicle that is falling apart or the main computer or other computers are failing and need to be replaced. I called the Dealer I bought it from and they told me to bad so sad that is what you get for buying a used vehicle. Which does not make me wanna buy another vehicle from them again no matter how good of a deal they offer.
Update from Jan 7, 2023: After taking the vehicle to the dealer a 3rd time for thr air intake code which ended up they didn't connect a pigtail back correctly after doing thr last job no more check engine lights so far. But only time will tell.
