The contact called on behalf of the owner of a 2017 Jeep Wrangler. The contact stated while the driver was driving approximately 70 MPH, the rubber hood latches on the engine snapped and the hood smashed into the windshield. The entire windshield was damaged. There were no warning lights. The contact was informed that the hood latches needed to be replaced. The latches were replaced. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 80,000.
The contact owns a 2017 Jeep Wrangler. While driving 60 mph, the vehicle's hood flew up and shattered the windshield and windshield frame. The contact coasted the vehicle to the side of the road and had it towed to hunter Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram (1130 auto mall dr., lancaster, ca 93534, (661) 948-8411). The vehicle was diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was contacted. The approximate failure mileage was 24,754. Consumer stated your team is welcome to inspect my repaired vehicle at any time which continues to have significant hood flutter issues. I have no issues paying for my own rental car at my expense while you check out my vehicle.
