Will never own a Chrysler product ever again. Purchased this 2015 wrangler with 40k on it and has been nothing but continuous problems. Both cylinder heads have been replaced. One dropped a valve out of random and the other side burnt a valve causing a misfire. Jeep will only replace heads and not put a long block in. This is just a couple of the many problems this pile has had but by far the worst.
I was driving to a meeting, I got off the highway, and the jeep engine started to have a hitch. And I noticed the check engine light on. I left my Jeep at the dealership which is very close to the highway exit. They found that I had a defective injector, it was repaired the same day, cost of the bill for the replacement is 667.20 no problem for the return home.
A year ago in 2019 I had a check engine light issue which turned out to be a Cylinder 6 misfire. I took it to Huntington Beach Jeep dealer, which is where I purchased the Jeep brand new in 2015. They apparently fixed the issue with a software update. All was covered by HB Jeep. Now almost a year later (June 18, 2020) I took the Jeep in again for another check engine light issue and rough idle. It is another Cylinder misfire but this time in Cylinder 2. The dealer says it is a bad coil causing the misfire. They said that they have to remove the intake and replace the gasket and coil, and its going to cost me over $700.
Since the day I purchased the Jeep I usually only drive it on the weekends, thus the reason for the low miles at around 52,000 for a 2015 wrangler. Never taken it off road or driven hard, so I am very unhappy that I am experiencing these "misfire" issues on a car I have taken extremely good care of and serviced regularly. And even more unhappy that I now have to pay for the repair because HB Jeep has now said that this Cylinder 2 issue is NOT covered.
Update from Jun 18, 2020: I forgot to mention that I was actually considering purchasing a Jeep Gladiator, but after these issues I don't think I will be getting another Jeep.
Check engine light came on, on the way to the dealer for a routine oil change/tire rotation. Had the dealer run the diagnostic, they said that I have some cylinder misfire and that they will have to keep the car for several weeks to replace"cylinders" ect. However, this particular issue is known on this specific engine (3.6L) and it should be covered by the manufacturer....I said fine, I ask could this just be bad gas or something, They said not likely ...ok so they said that they are going to call and talk with Chrysler. Two days later, they called and announce that Chrysler said that it was a computer issue and it can be fix with a software refresh and I can come and get my vehicle and if the light come on again I can come back. ....wow...I can not imagine what would have happened if they or any shop had follow the first diagnostic indication that I needed to replace cylinder heads...just the total cost would have been overwhelming.... I am still not sure what happened there, but I do know that I have a MAX Care Warranty, not sure if that was the deciding factor....
Check engine light came on at 10000k miles. My car it's been at the dealership for almost a week. Also, experiencing issues with shifter assembly getting stuck in parking with the following message on my dash vehicle not in park. Dealers believe check engine light related to faulty shifter assembly part should arrive at dealers on 11/23/15 no loaner vehicle provided dealers refused Bill Luke in Phoenix,AZ.
Update from Nov 24, 2015: The check engine came on due to shifter assembly being stuck. Part was replaced by dealer under warranty problem was fixed.

Twice at High Way speeds, 70 mph, check engine light comes on then goes back off in in about 10 miles. Running the code shows misfire cylinder 6, (sons a mechanic). First complaint to the dealer got me "oh we know there is a problem but we don't know how to fix it, call if it happens again" and by the way "we have another jeep here doing the same thing", amazing right. Second time it happened, (week later) it shows the same code misfire cylinder 6. I had to make an appointment take it in then told they were going to keep it and replace both camshafts. This they supposably accomplished and they replaced both in one day. Really one day? Super good mechanics, "BS". Anybody else having this issue? If so please post how yours was repaired, if its really repaired. Thanks.
