This problem with the Jeep spanned over 3 months where my Jeep was down for roughly the entire time. The tech was required to pull the transmission to repair the leak and perform a transmission tune up. Once the transmission was pulled, however, two manufacturer's defects were noted. Tech found 3 bell bolts loose as well as the torque converter hub was found slightly scored. Thus, the tech had to torque the bell bolts, replace the main pump seal, and clean and polish the hub and flush the torque converter 3 times due to the micro metal shavings.
Jeep (FCA) refused to cover this stating that my jeep was no longer under warranty as it was passed the 36,000 miles, even though manufacturer's defects were found. Tech who performed the transmission work stated that due to the defects founds while working on the transmission, he believes that more issues will manifest on my Jeep which may consider it to be a lemon.
FYI: A jeep dealership did not do the work on my Jeep as they are very inept in this area. I refuse to even take my Jeep to the dealership for an oil change as they have caused problems with my Jeep before by performing simple LOF. Therefore, I took my Jeep to a reputable technician who does only transmission work to fix the issue.
