Started noticing issues when starting the jeep up. It would hesitate then turn over. Then when I drove 30 minutes away from home it wouldn't crank over. After a few tries it started. That's when I realized I couldn't trust to drive it far. When I got back home I took it to Auto zone to diagnose the problem. But after changing the throttle body and accelerator it still didn't crank over. It just does this clicking noise now, seems to have gotten worse even after replacing it with mopar parts. Checked for electrical problems but couldn't find any. Battery is fine. Not the alternator, or failed starter or throttle position sensor either. Worried to take it to the dealership because I'm not a wealthy person. Now my wife and I are struggling. Hard to go to work with no car. Hey, I know "It's a Jeep thing". And wave, but now I'm regretting I have a broken jeep. My sister tells me that jeeps are the worst cars to buy. Maybe should have listened to her.

I parked the Jeep at the gas station, got back in and it wouldn't start...

The dash lights come on... the Jeep is like new... nothing happens.

The tow truck is coming to tow it to the repair shop... I'll update you on how bad they stuck it to me and let you know what type of electrical crap went bad.

Update from Aug 25, 2021: Tuns out it was just rhe battery...it wouldnt jump start and gave no indication it was weak..just went stone cold

Replaced the battery and all is good with the world. Jeep tech says he has seen ot happen seveal times

I was at a gas station at 530am across town from where I live. The Jeep is essentially brand new...I fill the tank and the car wont start. Lights come on but nothing....I call my husband to bring me the spare key, I call AAA for a jump, I take it to the dealership that thinks its the battery....then for the next week the car wont start until the 10th or 12th try....I take it in and they tell me its the TIPM...they want over $1000 for the part and almost $400 for the labor!!! And that's after I spent $300 on the battery and labor that they think now, I never needed!!!! WTF! Its obviously a fault from Chrysler and there was a class action lawsuit!!! This should have been a free recall!!!! I am complaining to the BBB next.

First, I must say I love my 2014 Jeep Sahara unlimited. With that being said, I am very concerned about a computer/electrical/ignition/starter issue that arose 2 weeks ago. The local Jeep dealer Diagnosed the problem

as a computer software update issue, which they performed, along with 30k service. This seemed to fix the issue. I then went out of town on business and came back on Friday to meet my family in pigeon forge. The Jeep ran great to pigeon forge without any issues. However, when I woke up this morning, I went out to get some coffee and the Jeep would not start. When I turned the key all I got was a clicking noise. Instead of having it towed to the local dealership, I called the service dept where we live and had it towed back home to Johnson city. Not sure what the issue is but hopefully it will get resolved this time. Moving forward I'm going to be hesitant to drive my Jeep any distance away from home. Luckily we had 2 vehicles in pigeon forge so I'm going to hitch a ride back home with the wife and son. This was a major inconvenience.

I am a DOD Contractor working in South Korea, assisting the US Army. American spec vehicle purchased on a military installation.

Already had problems with this vehicle before. Had Cam Shaft Sensors replaced while under 10000 miles. I came home from work today, which I drove my wife's car. I got out after parking and decided to move my Jeep, because it appeared that some Koreans would be doing construction around our parking lot. Got in and attempted to start the vehicle. MIL (malfunction indicator light) came on and stayed on, and the vehicle would not start. All accessories and lights worked, and seemed to be no other problems. Could hear the engine scream a high pitched constant sound while turning the key, but the engine would not turn over. Don't know what the issue is. I guess it was finished at the factory on a Friday. I think they sold me a lemon. Called about warranty work and talked to Chrysler customer service about getting a new vehicle. Will post more after resolution.

Went out to start the Jeep, as we were leaving to go on vacation. As I turned the key, nothing happen. I turned it back a few times and retried to no avail! All of the dash lights would light up just nothing would happen when it was turned to the start position. I called the roadside assistance number, and they sent a tow truck. The dealer played the famous(we've never seen this before) about a week later it was ready. They changed the TIPM, ECM, shift control module, and TPS module. Ive had it back for about 8 months and have had several issues since ....when trying to start, it spins over but never starts until second try. ....About 1 mile from my house I had a "Hot Oil" message appeared. I tried bringing it to a different dealer but conflicting schedules have not let me do it yet.

I love the Jeep , but do not trust going anywhere far with it! really aggravating as it is a third vehicle in the household, so it bothers me that I dont put much milage on it....therefore Im sure it would have many more problems if it were driven more!
