This issue was a complete monster! It started out with a check engine light and the engine being limited to no more the 4K RPM.
The Engine code read as a knock sensor issue. Should have been a $35 part and 15 minutes worth of work, but some genius at Chrysler decided that these should be put beneath the oil cooler, under the intake manifold.
I replaced both knock sensors but it didn't fix the issue.
Next, I replaced the section of the wiring harness that connects to the knock sensors and the oil cooler but that didn't fix it either.
Next, I had to replace the lower intake manifold because I had removed and replaced the upper intake so many times, that the bite screws had chewed through the plastic screw holes in the lower intake making it impossible to torque down to spec.
Finally, I replaced the next section of wiring harness that connects to the previous section and also provides the pig tails for the intake and ignition on the driver's side of the engine. THAT FINALLY FIXED IT!
Fortunately, the Jeep at least ran ok until I got it fixed, but it put us in few scary situations and definitely wasn't good for the engine. I just hope someone else might benefit from the above shortcut instead of having to figure this issue out for themselves!
It took a long time before it was realized by the Jeep dealer maintenance folks could figure out that the engine harness needed to be replaced due to cracking of the original harness wires which were being shorting out and caused all warning lights and windshield wipers to come on and engine would run rough or stall while driving. The new harness has wire shields covering all wires. Engine heat appears to be the cause of cracking as most come in contact with the metal areas of the engine. This fix is in response to my Jeep Wrangler electrical complaint identified as number 46.

Had my 2014 Jeep Wrangle in for state inspection & service on March 5th. Had them also check the ABS & VCS lights that were intermittent at the time. Found no faults.
I picked up my Jeep & all was fine until Monday March 9th when the ABS & VSC lights came on again when I was about 3 miles from home. The lights stayed on for about 1/4 mile then went out. When the lights went out, my Wrangler started to hesitate in acceleration & it seemed as if it was going to quit. Then the ABS & VSC lights came back on & driving resumed ok. Made it home & at this time, the check engine light came on.
I shut the engine off. Started up & all 3 lights came back on, ABS, VSC & check engine light. I called towing company & had them take my Wrangler to my dealership. The problem was the R/R axle assembly & wheel speed sensor which was replaced at an out of pocket cost of $1333.07. I have an extended warranty but was informed that this particular issue is not covered.
Other searches have brought up the same issues regarding the ABS & VSC on Jeeps in years previous to mine & newer. My 2014 Jeep with 34,000 miles is garage kept & never been off road. Apparently Chrysler is aware of the problem but there seems to be no recall or acceptance of responsibility for this issue.
SAME EXACT PROBLEM HAS HAPPENED SEVERAL TIMES SINCE!!!
"The engine, stability, battery, and several other lights including will come on and the needle showing the RPM will fall to zero. The radio will also shut off. Then about 3 seconds the lights will go off, RPM needle will position itself back to were it was and the radio will come on. The problem I have described has happened several more times and each time is not the same. Sometimes the radio goes off and then come back on. Other times the lights on the dash come on and go off. The problem seems to happen randomly ( no particular time, speed, weather conditions, etc.)"
I HAVE NOT HAD THE RADIO ISSUE HAPPEN YET BUT ALL OF THE LIGHTS AS DESCRIBED ARE EXACTLY THE SAME.
OK Just made FIRST car note on 2014 Jeep Dragon Edition that I have owned for 4 weeks and has been in the shop almost 3 weeks total!!!!!
Told by Service Manager they can not figure out what is wrong - said he direct wired the AC to the TIPM and thinks it is either that or the wiring harness to the whole Jeep - you have got to be kidding me and by they way the dealership has been NO HELP making bring the car they loaned by back saying I could not put miles on it WTF AGAIN I must say
