Wrangler Sport 3.2L V6

This problem has gotten worse over time. It first started out with the down hill assist light, ABS brake light, parking brake light, traction control light, the tachometer needle dropping, and the engine slowing down. This would happen for a few seconds and then go back to normal. None of these warning lights I mentioned would stay on at that time. I noticed it would seem to happen in slower speeds under 55 mph.

When I took it back to the Jeep Dealership, they could not duplicate the problem; therefore I was told that they could not do anything about this issue. As time went on, the dashboard would light up longer than it did in the past. Took it back to the Jeep Dealership and they said the same thing, that they could not produce this issue. So I caught it on my phone and video recorded the issue while it was happening.

Took it to back to the dealership again but this time the Traction Assist light stayed on. They said they'll change the sensor but if it persists it may be because I have a wire next to other wires that may cause interference...yeah, OK. So I disconnected wires, removed fuses, that were to my sub and amplifier and ensured no live wires or power are on those wires. Well THAT didn't help because it happened shortly after the removal.

Now the problem has gotten to the point that the car is not really safe to drive. The lights flash and stay on for much longer (2-3 minutes at a time) and the Check Engine Light stays on while the car knocks while I try to accelerate. So I will take it back to the dealership this week and see what they say now that the Check Engine Light is on.

Wrangler Sahara V6

  • Automatic transmission
  • 70,000 miles

I have indicator lights coming on for no reason. Hand brake, abs, engine light, tire pressure...

Brought it in to the dealer. Of course I was told its not covered by insurance or recall. I had the computer changed at their request to fix the issue.

The issue came back a few days later. They told me the issue was now the sensors themselves in the different parts being measured.

I spent over $500 to have the computer fixed, now I will have to spend another $500 to have the sensors changed.

This is not an old Jeep, its a 2012!

Anyone else have this issue?

Wrangler Sahara 3.6L V6

  • Automatic transmission
  • 38,000 miles

My wife and I bought this car 4 days ago from a private seller. The first weekend we had the car we went of a road trip of course and on the way back this problem started occurring. As we were driving the ASB, BRAKE, and ESC lights flashed on for a second and the car beeped at us. While that happened our odometer dropped to zero but then kicked back up to the actual speed we were going immediately afterwards. This happened every 5 minutes or so, we stopped the car and let it sit for 15 minutes then continued the drive home. After almost 2 hours it didn't happen again but after we stopped to switch drivers it started doing the same thing again. Don't know what to do at this point. We are taking it to the dealer tomorrow to see if they have seen this before.

Wrangler Sahara V6

  • Automatic transmission
  • 46,603 miles

I bought a used 2012 Jeep Sahara, fully loaded, with an extended warranty. Even had it fully inspected and maintained by the sellers Jeep dealer prior to the purchase this past june.

I have put limited mileage on it since and no-off roading... yet!

About a month ago indicator lights started coming on in the dash board while driving. Low tire pressure, parking brake, anti-skid, etc. At first I would stop and walk around to check the tires, or pull over to check other indicators.

Then I bring it in yesterday to have the windshield replaced (yeah I also found out that this is a common occurrence on the Wranglers!) and mentioned the indicator lights. After 2 days in the garage, I am now told it will require the replacement of the in dash "computer" and assorted electrical widgets, that this is very uncommon (however they told me the part was back ordered because another vehicle with the same problem used the part in stock this am. So much for a rare problem!). SO, I have to wait another day and was told that this is not covered under the regular or extended warranty! I am not talking a 10 year old car here! It's a 2012! with 75K km (for you American friends that like 45K miles!). Oh, yeah and the 110 outlet also died and I am told it's the same fix!

Anyone else with this issue out there?

I have taken my 2012 JEEP WRANGLER CONV 4X4 UNLTD SAHARA in on several occasions and the dealer cannot duplicate the problem. All the warning lights on the dashboard come on, the dashboard blinks, all the gauges drop to zero, and there is a ding and a few seconds later it goes back to normal. If I am on the expressway the cruise control turns off and the vehicle slows down as well. This happens during driving and lately has been happening more frequently. However when I go to the dealership they can't duplicate the problem.

I showed the service rep the video I took so he can see exactly what happens. They replaced a sensor but the very next week the same thing happens. I took it back again and they said they couldn't find anything wrong. This past week it happened again but the airbag light remained on this time and won't go out. I took it to the dealership and they said, it's a faulty seat belt sensor. WHAT?? It is now in the shop and maybe this will resolve the problem this time, however, I'm not sure. It currently has 33000 miles on it now and still under warranty.
