First the horn stops working, then the buttons on the steering wheel, then radio becomes all static while cd player still worked fine. Now absolutely no radio and the cd player plays intermittently until finally the cd play wont work either. I am being told it is the clock spring and it needs to be replaced as well as it shorted out the amplifier and stereo so they need to be replaced as well. I was told it is a severe hazard to have the clock spring go out because of safety and the airbags will eventually become faulty in some way or not work at all.

Wrangler Unlimited Rubicon 3.8L V6

  • Automatic transmission
  • 57,000 miles

Brought vehicle into dealership yesterday, got an oil change and indicated the door hinges bushings need replacement, and the C 130 AM/FM/CD/SIRUS radio not working, U-connect involved. The Rep for the dealership advised me the mechanics might go on strike today, the extended coverage folks want to send someone down to inspect the issues before covering this.

The radio issue, I was told they had several others with the same issue. The door hinges well I am at a loss on that one. So here I sit waiting for the strike to be over and to have someone look at what is clearly defective parts. I love Jeeps, this is my third one since I retired from the Military, I expected more from Jeep/ Crysler. On their QA and product selection.

Wrangler Unlimited Rubicon 3.2L V6

  • Automatic transmission
  • 50,000 miles

The C130 RES AM/FM CD SIRIUS radio acted up. AM/FM indicates on radio but no sound. The CD, Sirius and I-BEAM Connect fades in and out, and at times does not work at all.

Tomorrow I will take it in again for both the radio and cruise control.

Wrangler Sport V6

  • Automatic transmission
  • 25,000 miles

I bought a brand new 2011 Jeep Wrangler Sport / 4 door w/ factory Sirius radio. At the 25k mile mark, the Sirius factory radio would stop playing any music or sound across the speakers. You would only hear a crackle or a crack like every 7 seconds. When this first started happening, you could whack the radio with your hand and the sound would come back. But eventually, you could hit it all day and the sound would not come back on. This happens for every band, SAT/FM/AM/BT/USB.....you would get no sound. However, if you pulled over, turned engine off and waited about 10 to 15 minutes, the sound would sometimes come back...it had a mind of its own. I wrote to Jeep Consumer Help and they wrote back to say i am out of luck. Didnt even offer what i could do to fix it......The radio eventually only worked in the BT or SAT band. If you switched to AM or FM from BT or SAT while the radio was working, the act of switching to AM or FM would stop any sound from playing over your speakers. As you might suspect, the radio is NOT covered under any warranty. After living with this issue for almost 3 years, i finally broke down and bought a new radio. This along with the death wobble and many other things wrong with this vehicle, I feel I got a complete LEMON!!!!
