I was driving and ask of a sudden my airbag light came on. I could hear a clank/clunk in steering column. Also horn nor cruise control would work. Dealership replaced the clockspring the next day. No reason why. Just stated they go out. Mine went out at 20xxx miles!!! no recall!!
The contact owns a 2010 Jeep Wrangler. The contact stated that they had to upgrade the vehicle every two years since 2004. The contact stated that they had the 2004, 2006, 2008 and now 2010 models and all had an issue with a defective horn. The dealer installed an auxiliary horn and a relay harness. The horn and horn button were replaced as well but the failure continued. A mechanic stated that the problem was because of the fact that the horn was run through the radio which caused an electrical wiring problem. The manufacturer offered no assistance. The failure mileage was 50 and the current mileage was approximately 33,000.
