A few months ago I worked until 8pm. I started my jeep and turned on the headlights, they flashed 4 times and then turned off. I turned off the engine and restarted, hoping lights would come on. They did not, each time trying to turn the lights on, they would flash and go out. I drove home with fog lights on. I brought the jeep to my mechanic the next day and the lights worked fine for him. This happened a couple of times and then it would be fine. Now it happens often and I never know if I will be able to drive it as it is dark in the morning when I leave for work. If they do work; I worry that they will go out while driving. I have taken it to my mechanic again and he tried a new switch which was not the problem. So here I am with a vehicle that may or may not run properly. I also have found in my research of this problem, that many others have the same issue and continuously have put hundreds of dollars into finding the problem only to fix it temporarily or not at all. It sat in the driveway for a week. No headlights. My boyfriend also researched the problem and read to disconnect battery for a short while and then reconnect. We did this and they WORKED for only 2 days and again back to flashing. This is definitely a safety concern!!!!!
