I have had consistent and on going problems with the brakes on vehicle. Pads have been repeatedly replaced after only short periods of time, as have rotors. Brakes tend to stick intermittently, causing excessive wear and fuel consumption from the resistence.

Wrangler Sahara V6

  • Manual transmission

The fact that the rotor failed at 40,000 miles is inconceivable to me on a vehicle that is supposedly designed for off-road use (but not used in that way). 12,000 miles later, the vehicle failed inspection and cost $408.79 to replace rear brake pads, rotors, right rear caliper and brake hose. The first repair was done by a Jeep dealer and the second was by a local garage. The wear on these components was not due to road conditions or driving style since we have never had similar problems with our other Toyota and Honda vehicles.
