The navigation system in my Jeep has gone out four times... well, actually it didn't go out but it had my circling Huntsville, Alabama when I was in Meridian, MS on two occasions, currently it has me in Louisiana when I'm in Laurel, MS... during a business trip, I'm in the military and drove it to Rock Island Arsenal, Illinois... it had me north of I80 in Iowa..
I took it to four different dealerships... it worked for a while then went array yet again! My Rubicon has less that 15K... however, my warrantee was going to run out so I extended it through Chrysler... when I told them it had a Navigation system, the price went up... I took it to a local dealer who stated it was not covered under warrantee!
I will be calling the 800 today to express my dismay... I will ask them to replace the nav system or I will tighten the screws on the local dealership and corporate - I am not naive, I realize they can blow me off as they do many folks, but that doesn't mean they won't get a piece of my mind!
The bottom line is that I would not pay for another NAV system if I was to buy another Wrangler, which I will if they come out with the diesel, anyway, I would buy an "aftermarket" system... I really do not use the NAV system, I do use the radio which is superb given the speakers and amps!
It's not fixed but will update later this week... I want to fix this prior to my return to Afghanistan - thus, more to follow!
