The contact owns a 2007 Jeep Wrangler unlimited. While driving approximately 5 mph, the transmission violently slipped out of first gear. Immediately, the contact shifted into the second gear range, and resumed normally. The failure occurred whenever the vehicle was in operation. The vehicle was taken to an authorized dealer for diagnostic testing. The contact was waiting on a response from the dealer regarding the failure at the time of the complaint. The failure mileage was approximately 60,000.
The contact owns a 2007 Jeep Wrangler. The contact stated that the transmission would slip out of gear without warning while driving in first gear. The vehicle would vibrate excessively and make clanking noises when the failure occurred. The dealer stated that they were aware of the failure and the manufacturer offered three separate repair remedies to no avail. The vehicle was left in possession of the dealer for further analysis. The VIN was not available. The failure mileage was 26,000 and the current mileage was 39,000.
