The contact owns a 2007 Jeep Wrangler. While driving the vehicle would stall without any prior warnings. The vehicle was taken to the dealer for inspection. The technician could not locate any diagnostic error codes therefore no repairs were made. The failure mileage was 20. The current mileage was 44000. Updated 11/04/09. The consumer stated the dealer performed the repair per the recall, however the remedy only lasted 18 months and then the stalling resumed and continued to be a constant problem. Updated 11/05/09.

After five seconds, the vehicle resumed normal operation. The vehicle was taken to an authorized dealer for diagnostic testing, but they could not duplicate the failure. The failures recurred on three separate occasions. The authorized dealer was notified twice, but there were no resolutions. The vehicle is in the process of being towed. The VIN was unknown. The failure mileage was 30,000 and current mileage was 90,000.

The contact owns a 2007 Jeep Wrangler. On December 23, 2008, while driving 35 mph, the vehicle went out of control and would only steer to the right. The vehicle then began to accelerate and the stabilizer system activated on its own. The vehicle switched into two wheel drive. The contact depressed the brakes and pulled the wheel in an attempt to stabilize the vehicle. The vehicle proceeded into the left lane and was pulled to the side of the road and shut off. The vehicle was towed to the dealer and they found no failures. The dealer turned off the electronic stability control. The current and failure mileages were 23,000.

The contact owns a 2007 Jeep Wrangler. The contact stated that she experienced a loss of power in her vehicle. She also noticed that there was a loss of power steering and brake accessibility. While driving 75 mph, the contact pulled over and had the vehicle towed. The dealer kept the vehicle for approximately three weeks and drove it for 300 miles; however, they could not find any failures with the vehicle. The contact was informed that there were two recalls on her vehicle, which were corrected by the dealer. NHTSA campaign id number 07V291000 (electrical system) was most closely related to the recent failure. The dealer offered the contact another vehicle on their lot. The current mileage was 10,513 and failure mileage was approximately 5,000.

The dealer inspected the vehicle on four occasions and they were unable to diagnose the failure. The vehicle was repaired as part of NHTSA campaign id # 07V291000 for electrical system however; failure has worsened since the repair. The current mileage was 44,500 and failure mileage was 5,000.

The contact owns a 2007 Jeep Wrangler. The contact stated that the vehicle was performing well up until 10,000 miles. The vehicle was getting 21-25 miles per gallon and had a lot of power. In August of 2007, he received a recall notice for NHTSA campaign id number 07V291000 (electrical system) and took his vehicle in to be repaired. Since the repair was made, the vehicle has become sluggish when driving between 5 and 60 mph, the timing has slowed, the vehicle has no power and stalls when it should accelerate, and uses more fuel (14-17 mpg). He has taken the vehicle to the dealer twice; once for the recall repair and once due to the results of the repair. The dealer from where the vehicle was purchased stated that nothing was wrong and would be his responsibility. The contact would like his vehicle restored to the way it was before the recall repair. The current mileage was 12,400 and failure mileage was 10,000. Updated 11/06/07.

The contact owns a 2007 Jeep Wrangler. While driving 40 mph, the vehicle stalled. The vehicle coasted and restarted on its own. The vehicle failed again while pulling into the driveway. The contact took the vehicle to the dealer, but they could not duplicate the failure. On July 10, 2007, the vehicle was repaired under NHTSA recall number 07V291000 (electrical system). The vehicle has not stalled since the repair, but continues to hesitate as if it will stall. The vehicle was taken to the dealer twice because the air conditioning system failed. On August 27, 2007, the contact noticed that the ABS and anti-skid lights were illuminated. The vehicle is currently at the dealer for the A/C system. The current mileage was 18,000 and failure mileage was 2,384.

- the contact stated that while driving 2007 Jeep Wrangler limited the warning lights on dash board turned on and radio turned off, at which time vehicle lost power while driving at 65-75 mph. Vehicle mileage at the time of failure was 2900, and is currently 7464. The first time vehicle lost power the rpms were still running. He put the vehicle in neutral. Then attempted to restart the vehicle and was successful. The second time the incident occurred warning lights turned on, and the radio turned off for another 5 second. He took foot off the accelerator and left the vehicle in drive and the vehicle regained speed, the lights turned off and the radio turned back on. The contact stated that he noticed that sometimes when he opened the windows the radio was off for about 5 seconds. The contact did take vehicle to dealership for second time, and they replaced the ignition switch, and the circuit brake panel. The contact stated that he took vehicle to dealership for repair again on 12/26/06 because the vehicle was still having the same electrical problems. Updated 1/17/2006 - windshield bracket bolts corroded. The left blinker would blink very fast. The dealer replaced the left front turn signal bulb. Gear shift became stuck. The dealer replaced the console mounted shift lever.
