This data is from the NHTSA — the US gov't agency tasked with vehicle safety. Complaints are spread across multiple & redundant categories, & are not organized by problem.
So how do you find out what problems are occurring? For this NHTSA complaint data, the only way is to read through the comments below. Any duplicates or errors? It's not us.
Driving Jeep in cold weather, the windshield suddenly cracked from the center, bottom of glass to the passenger side of the glass. The inner pane of glass cracked. There was not any damage to the glass prior to the break. I was running the defroster at the time and the ambient temperature was approx. 7 degrees F.
I have a 2004 Jeep Wrangler and there are several problems but the worst is that neither front belts will retract fast enough to prevent either door from slamming on the shoulder portion. I fear that after repeated door closing on the belts will weaken them to the point of breaking during an impact. The secondary problem is the front windshield is cracking in 2 places.
Windshield-2004 Jeep Liberty within a month of buying there was little chips all over windshield spoke with dealership (nothing they would do) this vehicle has only been driven in town and on highway. This is ridiculous for a 24,000 dollar vehicle.
