2000 Jeep Wrangler. The wiring to the A/C control switch shorts out and causes a minor fire. The switch has been replaced and it happened again. There was evidence of a previous fix in spliced wiring. The wiring harness is no longer available. Research on Jeep related web sites has proven to me that this is not an isolated incidence and occurs in many of the surrounding model years. There is a design flaw in the three posts that connect to the selector switch, they are to close to each other.
