Filling up the gas on my 1999 Jeep Wrangler tj, during the filling process it will shoot out gas. The tank is not full, its 3/4 and it will shoot out gas. I have gotten it in my face, eyes, good clothes. Its cost my hundreds of dollars to fix what the gas has done.
When filling fuel tank gas overflows from fill point before pump shuts off. This causes fuel to spray or spill onto the ground or nearby objects. This only does this when fill the tank full.
I go to fill my 99 Jeep Wrangler and gas keeps splashing out at be and the pump keeps shutting off at the same time no matter how slow I pump gas it comes spilling.
The vehicles fuel gauge malfunctioned and as a result it did not provide an actual fuel reading. This problem was preventing the driver from knowing the correct fuel reading. Consumer has made contact with the dealership.
