This data is from the NHTSA — the US gov't agency tasked with vehicle safety. Complaints are spread across multiple & redundant categories, & are not organized by problem.
So how do you find out what problems are occurring? For this NHTSA complaint data, the only way is to read through the comments below. Any duplicates or errors? It's not us.
The rear brakes provide no stopping assistance. When you back up on any surface and apply the brakes the front brakes [disc] lock up and the back wheels just keep rolling. They provide no stopping assistance at all.
When brakes are applied, the front brakes lock up, but the rear wheels continue to turn, which is extremely hazardous during slippery conditions. We are hoping that the master cylinder cures the problem, but are concerned that other people may not realize that there rear brakes are not functioning properly.
