The contact owns a 1995 Jeep Wrangler. The contact stated that while driving 45 mph, the steering failed and the vehicle had no steering control. The vehicle was taken to a local mechanic. The mechanic stated that the gear box for the steering wheel was rusted near its bolts and broken into pieces. The vehicle was not repaired. The VIN was not available. The failure and current mileages were 110,000.
Please add VIN. Consumer's son was driving approximately 30-35mph when leaving a four-way stop at approximately 100yards while still in third gear, vehicle flipped over. The top of Jeep grazed a pole and the roll bar broke. Also the seat belts were shreaded, and broken loose. The driver was killed.
