I was experiencing the car skip and when I driving, as if my transmission was having problems. I didn't really look into it until I starting having stalling problems while driving. On 5/13/2019, I had the car checked out by Leith on 5500 Capital Blvd Raleigh, NC 27616. I spoke with one of the service reps. and they check everything and they said they replaced a few sensors and it should drive right. I drove the car for eight days and the same problems started happening again.
I returned back to the dealership with the same complaint about the stalling and jerking on 5/21/2019. They looked at it and said it is fine... no problems. I drove the car for about three months and those same problems started to happen again. I took the car back to the dealership in August, but unfortunately, my warranty expired, and to address the issues I had to pay. To put it on the diagnosis's machine it was $300 and if I had to repair that cost is separate. Whew, that was too much for me.
I had to end up taking the car back home and trust God that I would be safe... seriously. Today, 12/2/2020, the car is back at the dealership under investigation. If anyone can relate please let me know. Renegades are a death trap and there are so many complaints about this Jeep since they were distributed to the consumers to buy in 2015. They really need to be recalled immediately. I really need any owner of a Renegade to speak out if you are having any issues with this Jeep.
The Renegade has been hard shifting randomly since about 2,000 miles and most recently has been happening more and more frequently. It happens while driving, but I have not been able to identify a trigger. I have also experienced a slowness to shift at times.
The hard shifting has been constant from taking ownership. It has steadily become more frequent as well as violent when shifting. It seems to be in the lower gear range but happens randomly, speeding up, slowing down you name it. Took it in had a flash performed and since then it has become even worse. Scheduled to go back again for this problem this week.
