Since 21000 miles (first instence) we have had issues with the car shutting off, and losing all power to the gas and break, almost causing a wreck. I was turning left and the engine sputrered, then as the wheel straightened up it completely lousy all gas, and break function as if it was not idling. About every 3-4 weeks after it would stall, but not lose complete control. We started to notice it was using excessive amounts of oil, after acknowledging first couple issues. We are currently having it looked at, as the electrical components would not allow us to start the engine at all, we are currently at 30,000 miles. Car is 1.5 years old, problems arose 5 months ago.
I have had car about two months and it keeps stalling on me and I got almost into an accident because it stalled on a busy street and traffic was coming. Jim click Chrysler into sun Arizona they say it's the fuel pump but other things are going on with the car to like the radio and it keeps turning off and the screen for the back up camera turns off on its own so I think there's more going on that car and I'm disappointed in Jeep for making a car that could cause an accident I have to think of the safety of my kids
My 2018 Jeep Renegade keeps stalling out it shakes and then just cuts off the engine light recently came on I couldn't understand that so I took it to be checked and was told everything is fine on the truck and that it probably needed to be recalled I'm terrified to drive this vehicle in fear of crash it is my sole means of transportation and just want a great running vehicle that I'm paying for

My Renegade trailhawk continues to stall while driving/turning. In the past two days it has happened three times. Each time my son was in danger of being hit by another vehicle going at a fast speed (35/40 mph). These stalls occurred on busy streets (holme avenue - 19136; knights road - philadelphia, pa (going to jefferson torresdale hospital to work) and frankford avenue and grant avenue, philadelphia, pa) when it stalled. The "check oil" light came on once. I checked the oil and it was empty. I just had the car inspected on March 28, 2019 - including an oil change. How can a car that has a little over 3,000 miles on it have this happen. This just started and puts my family in a very dangerous situation. This also happened the week after I got the vehicle - called the dealer (reedman toll) and they said they had no reports of it happening to anyone else so just keep an eye on it.
Alarm comes on saying fcw sensor blocked but comes on at random.times sensor is not blocked comes on while driving causing system not to function, other times when working auto braking will activate while no obstruction is present
My vehicle's backup camera does not work. When I tried to back up and turned the shift into rear, the monitor usually turns on automatically but once it didn't and stayed all in black screen. I took my car to the dealer and they said the electric connection was loose. It was back on. But it happened again later so I took my car back to the same dealer again and they say the monitor works and they don't see any problem. Next day it turned all black again. It keeps happening. Sometimes it works. Sometimes it doesn't.
My 2018 Jeep Renegade began to stall out on me while driving and turning and acting as if it doesn't want to crank. No lights are on. I've noticed some of them have been recalled for the same reason. I have the 2018 Jeep Renegade 4X2 2.4 liter.
My wife has had her Renegade for about 6 months now. We purchased it brand new. A couple weeks after we got it she was driving down the road in town and it started sputtering and shut off under a red light at a busy intersection and about got hit. After a couple minutes it finally started back and was able to get it off the road. Once off the road she let it sit and started it back up and attempted to drive home but it cut off again. We left it over night at the sheriff's dept and got it the next day and drove it to the dealership. We told them what was happening and they kept it for about a week and said they couldn't find anything wrong with it. So after driving it for another couple of days it started messing up again. So yet again we took it back to the dealership and they kept it for about a week and said they fixed it. Now after a couple of months its doing the same thing as before and about caused her to get hit. It's back at the dealership so hopefully they will figure it out. But after reading all of the reports from other people I don't have much faith in that. Hopefully Jeep will swallow their pride and recall the vehicles before someone gets killed.
First, speaker keeps going in and out then 12V port was dead. Screen shot off a few times. Hands free access stopped working a few times. Now for the 3rd time (3 different stall outs), the car is shutting off on its own while driving. This last time, it acted like it was in another shift other than drive and when I put it in park it ran rough then just died. Came back on like nothing happened after shutting off and restarting.
Takata recall I was leaving walmart remote started my Jeep pulled off. Once I got on the road the Jeep started stalling then it just shut off in the middle of the street with no warning. I don't understand how a Jeep 2018 just cuts off. I had my kids in the car and we could have been seriously hurt.
I was on a two lane highway on a straightaway with cruise control set at 70 miles per hour. With out warning my car turned to the right off of the highway and did not brake. I hit an embankment at full speed and rolled. I was not impaired nor did I fall asleep; however, due to injuries I sustained in the accident I have no recollection of the events causing me to leave the road. The vehicle did not skid or swerve and drove to the right until it started rolling. This vehicle should be investigated to discover possible reasons for it suddenly pulling right without brakes. Thankfully, the safety features of this vehicle saved my life, by all accounts they were expecting a fatality. I walked away with my life. I just want to know what caused this Jeep Renegade trailhawk 4X4 to suddenly turn right and not slow down as I know I would not have left the road in that manner for no reason and certainly would have been standing on the brakes and pulling to the left to avoid the embankment. I have full confidence in the Jeep brand and know that regardless of the cause of my accident, the safety features of this vehicle are amazing!
This occurred after an accident, damaging the front bumper and grill of the vehicle. The day after the accident, vehicle stalls once while driving. The following day, vehicle drives as if putting in gas while in park, but is still able to drive along with stopping and going while accelerating. Now, the vehicle cannot accelerate past 15 mph, and still hold the problems previously mentioned.
My Jeep keep stopping while driving I put VIN # to see recall it's says no recalls but very dangerous to drive took it to dealer 2 times they says they can't find nothing wrong very stressful happen 3 times already 2018 keep renagade, please help before anyone get kill this is app unsafe
Purchased vehicle new from dealer stock in patchogue, NY, with trailhawk trim. Had it a little over a month, and have less than 1000 miles on it. Within the 1st week the windshield cracked and dealer refused to replace it even though it had a wave in it at eye level. Have seen other complaints about this online. At same time, we noticed a problem with climate control and dealer couldn't get us in to look at it for about a month. What happens is after the car is shut off and temp is left at say 72 in all zones, often when you restart the vehicle later or the next day it is no longer set to 72 and may be blasting superhot air at 90 or jump to low ac or anything in between. Its a completely random temperature having nothing to do with outside air temp. Also, doesn't happen with every restart. This car has the auto climate control feature too, but the issue happens whether we leave it on auto or manual. We also checked to make sure no one was knocking into the control with legs or handbags etc. Dealer service manager says this is "just how Jeep manufactured it", and "the Jeep engineers deliberately want the temperature to be random because its not a priority". this is my third Chrysler/Dodge/Jeep vehicle, and the problem has not happened in either of the other two, so that it sounds to me like just a dealer being lazy and not wanting to fix the problem. I also called Jeep customer care and got little help so far. However, it is clear to me no engineer would ever design a car to be so deliberately inconvenient and potentially dangerous where you have to spend the first few moments in your car fiddling with digital temperature controls. Ever car I have ever driven stores your last temperature and resumes that temperature when you return. Did I mention we are extremely dissatisfied with this vehicle as a result and have already told many friends to avoid Jeep. Terrible.
Vehicle stalling and dying while trying to drive. I can sit for 10 min and it hesitates so I have to put it in park and stop (sometime while in the middle of the road) it seems if I leave it running for about 20 min it will do this then the whole front end shakes and it automatically shuts its self off. And in order to drive it I have to leave it turned off for about 30 min then it will run ok... I've taken it to my local dealership twice they can seem to replicate it (if they even really tried to) I just purchased this less than two months ago had only 6 miles on it. Its a 2018 Jeep Renegade limited 2X4.
The 2018 Jeep Renegade stalled as I was turning in my driveway. Checked the oil and there was no oil on the dipstick. No lights came on. It had only 4000 miles on it. Not even time for its first oil change. Never had a new vehicle that had used oil. This is not safe. It could have stalled on me on the highway.
