We bought the Jeep in November of 2018. It was sitting in the showroom and price reduced as it was a 2017 that had not been purchased. A couple weeks after getting it, we started getting messages saying that the Park assist sensor was blocked. It was snowing and I thought that it may have been covered by the snow. A few days later we started getting all kinds of error messages ranging from the parking brake needs serviced, ESC system needs serviced, Airbags Serviced and one stating to put both hands on the wheel when both hands were on the wheel.
On two occasions while driving it said that the vehicle needed to be stopped in order to shift and all power was lost until I could pull over and mess with the gear shift to get power back. The radio display would change constantly from one screen to another and then turn off before turning back on and starting again with the same issues. It was taken to the dealer and an update was done which corrected the problem for about 6 hours.
Update from Dec 9, 2018: Renegade was taken to the dealer later that week to correct the issues again after the issues started again. Of course on the day of the appointment, it was not acting up so they could not identify the problem. I took it home instead of leaving it at the dealer for an unknown amount of time until they could recreate the problem. a few hours later it was doing it again.
