The contact owns a 2017 Jeep Renegade. The contact stated that while operating the vehicle, the odor of burning oil was present. The vehicle was taken to the local dealer who diagnosed that the engine oil was extremely low. Oil was added to the engine and it was later discovered that the engine oil had rapidly been consumed. The manufacturer performed an oil consumption test which the vehicle failed. The manufacturer was notified of the failure but no assistance was offered. Also, while driving on the freeway at an undisclosed speed, the vehicle suddenly lost motive power and stalled. The vehicle was towed to the local dealer who replaced the alternator. Also, the vehicle had experienced various intermittent electrical failures where the doors locks, key fob, and instrument cluster would not operate. The vehicle was taken to the local dealer who diagnosed the failure as due to an electrical failure in the entertainment system. The entertainment system was replaced. The failure mileage was 20,000.

The contact took the vehicle to the local dealer, where it was diagnosed with needing the front driver-??s side seat belt buckle to be replaced. The vehicle was repaired. The manufacturer had been informed of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 53,000.
