The steering failed when turning a corner after getting off the freeway. I called dealership and they said if the oil is low and sloshing around sometimes the steering will fail. I just had the oil changed and still have 1,200 more miles until my scheduled oil change. Dealer said this engine is notorious for cutting out if oil is not present. He also said this engine has a tendency to do this. Very scary when the steering fails. I do not see how an engine that is notorious for cutting out and losing steering is allowed to be on the road? I'm very uncomfortable driving this vehicle now and I have a 16 year old that drives it as well.
