Service at Manahawkin Jeep, Manahawkin NJ, 08050, told me there was an issue with a computer module that appeared to function improperly. When I left the car the first time, the key fob did not work properly and various sensor issues appeared on the car screen. Before I drove out of the lot when I went to pick up the car, the car once again began to dysfunction. i picked the car up three days later and it worked properly for about 3 weeks. While at the showroom I attempted to trade the car in for a used Jeep Wrangler,retail $30,000 and was offered a deal where I would have to come up with $20,000 + the new Renegade ( MSRP $32,000 ) Now, my new Renegade Trailhawk of 4 month was worth $ 10,000. I was not happy with that. There is also the fact that several other Renegades were in for the same problem. This information was given to me by the service person I dealt with.
Dash panel(behind the wheel) keeps telling me I have a light out-. I have had this in for repair 6 times and they can find nothing wrong. They have seen the flash for themselves but have no clue. One it may flash right turn light out---brake light out---fog log out,, it just keeps running though this cycle 15-20 times then it stops. I have NO light anywhere on the car burn out. They have tested the wiring,no problems.Each time they say will contact Star Chrysler and get back to you. Have had to two dealers and each time it is the same "Dont no why it is doing it, can't find an answer. I bought this car off the showroom floor with 34 miles on it, now has 6,000 and no one knows why,or seems to car that the problem keeps popping up.
Took Jeep in because dash started flashing (coded this time) "No right/left turn signal, No lights, etc". We drove to store and lights/turn signals started working. Dealership told us nothing wrong and couldn't duplicate symptoms. Was told there were 27 "low voltage" codes stored that were not there 12 days before when it was in the shop, but they say nothing wrong and to bring back if it happens again. Asked why the 27 codes showed and what caused "low-voltage" they suggested we jump-started the vehicle.....WHY IN THE WORLD WOULD WE NEED TO JUMP-START A NEW VEHICLE AND WITH THAT STATEMENT DOES THAT MEAN THIS VEHICLE CAN NOT BE JUMP STARTED? SOMETHING WE WOULD WANT TO KNOW....VERY DISAPPOINTED WITH THIS VEHICLE AND WITH THE DEALERSHIP AS WELL AS JEEP/CHRYSLER BECAUSE IF YOU KNOW THERE ARE PROBLEMS ....... DO SOMETHING ABOUT IT!
THIS IS THE 3RD COMPLAINT for JEEP RENEGADE 2016. BRAND NEW CAR, 879 miles on it. went into the shop for: Transmission, hard shifting between gears on new 9 speed automatic transmission, AC Valve Burst, & the worst problem which is likely to be unfixable, The COMPUTER SYSTEM, touch screen freezes on the car and is incompatible with iPHONES. The entire system shut down and will not function. iConnect for the phone will NOT CONNECT, MESSAGE IS DISPLAYED ACROSS SCREEN, "PHONE UNABLE TO CONNECT". Please read Jeep Renegade complaints for 2015. THEY ARE ALL THE SAME COMPLAINTS THAT ARE REPORTED!!!
THE CEO of JEEP FIAT noted in April 2015 that "This the worst day of his life & an huge engineering problem".
They HOPE TO HAVE FIXED by June of 2015. We are in June of 2016 and this will be the 1st complaint for a 2016. We are looking to resolve this through jeep by getting a different More Reliable car...
DO NOT BUY THIS CAR. I WORK IN PUBLISHING AND WILL BE LISTING ALL COMPLAINTS ALL OVER ALL SOCIAL MEDIA, MAGAZINES & OTHER NETWORKS TO GET THIS MESSAGE OUT THERE. JEEP RENEGADE 2015 & 2016 ARE LEMONS!!!! LEMONS!!! LEMONS!!! LEMONS!!! LEMONS!!!! LEMONS!!!!!
